adding group totals to a table
I have a table with two columns:
A 1
A 1
A 2
B 2
C 0
I would like to produce a third column that contains the counts of each
unique combination of col1 and col2:
A 1 2
A 1 2
A 2 1
B 2 1
C 0 1
How can I do this in R?
Thanks in advance ...

relationship between two factors
I have a dataset with two variables that are factors:
1) Decision Making Satisfaction (DMS), values = A - Completely, B -
Mostly, C - Partly, D - Not at all
2) IT Satisfaction values (ITS), values = A - Completely, B - Mostly, C

I would like to produce a table (matrix) and a chart of the factors,
with counts at the cross sections:

a demo website to learn xen on wiki (an idea that can be tried)
Hi,
I am not very old member of this list but I keep browsing the threads.
t\Today while browsing the threads in mailing list got an idea I see
many of the questions sound similar to some thing which can be called
as clarity of terms.
I mean to say some one who may be coming to Xen wiki for the first
time may find many terms confusing to them.
Say for example a web hosting control panel many such

[LLVMdev] LLMV demo page
Hello all, I was playing with the demo and found that I couldn't use any
c++11:
warning: 'noexcept' is a keyword in C++11 [-Wc++11-compat]
I was wondering if the demo will be updated to LLVM/Clang 3.2 once
that finishes, and if it would be possible to enable c++11 support.
Thanks,

demo() function returns alphabetical matches, not unique matches?
Hi,
I'm working on a set of demo files for a package, and I'm having a problem because I have two demo files (one called "logit", the other called "blogit") and when I type demo(logit), it gives me demo(blogit) instead. (And calls it the the demo for logit.)
I've figured out that this is because the demo() function searches through all the demo directories (in

Demo and 00Index problems
Greetings,
I am sure I'm missing the obvious, but my 00Index file in the demo
subdirectory is not recognized by R CMD check (the demo runs fine, but
I get a WARNING from R CMD check about a lack of demo/00Index file.
When I invoke demo() in R I see the name but not description of the
demo). Is there documentation (other than 'Writing R extensions') on
putting together the demo

demo names with spaces?
Does R support demo names with spaces?
I tried placing a file like "My Demo Name.R" in
the demo subdirectory, and placing a line that
begins with "My Demo Name" in 00Index, but
R CMD check does not like this. It reads the
line in 00Index as "My, and it doesn't think there
is a 00Index entry for "My Demo Name".
I have no problem going back to MyDemoName.R,

funfits (PR#137)
Hi,
I spotted an inconsistency between the output of funfits under R, more
specifically "nnreg", and the one obtained under S-plus. Notice the difference
in the "Root MSE", "GVC" and "GVC cost=2". As a check mark, I am also including
the data summaries, confirming that I was in fact using the same data set.
Here's my output from both systems:

demo site
Hi Arnaud,
The demo site for NUT appears to be unreachable:
$ demo.networkupstools.org
Host demo.networkupstools.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
Maybe the recent DNS changes have something to do with it?
Additionally, please note that, as of October 26th this year, I am no
longer making any guarantee that my home server, which is still used
for the demo site, will stay up 24h/24. In my new flat,

Wishlist: pass args from demo() to source()
Currently demo calls source with a hard coded max.deparse.length = 250
so you can't really see the demo properly in some cases. Note the
[TRUNCATED] below. (1) It would be nice if demo passed max.deparse.length
(and other args to source). (2) Also a larger max.deparse.length default would
be nice to make it less likely one would have to set it in the first place.
