Cannot ssh to VM01 remotely
I can ssh into the Xen box over my LAN from another machine and I am logged in as vm01. But when I try to ssh in from work I can''t. I configured my router and I still cannot ssh into vm01. I know the sshd daemon is running because I can ssh locally. What could it be preventing me to ssh to vm01 remotely?? Thanks. Kashif _______________________________________________

Not able to get eth0 up on domU.
I am using ttylinux-xen file system image a a loopback device for the domain. I am mostly using the default configuration. I am not able to get networking on the domU. Are kernel "vmlinuz-2.6-xenU" as well as "2.6.11.12-xen0" both compiled w/o loadable module support? I guess it fails when it tries to initialize the iptables on the domU when it tries to do "modprobe".

Xen 3.3.1 on CentOS 5.2 - networking problem with bond
Hi, I'm new to the list and new to Xen, so please be gentle with me! ;-) I've got a CentOS 5.2 x86_64 machine with two interfaces (eth0 and eth1 unsurprisingly) bonded into bond0 in mode 4, and a Cisco switch set up with LACP to suit. I didn't select Xen at install time as I wanted to install Xen 3.3.1 from the gitco repo. After installing and yum updating, I added the gitco repo

domU networking
Hi list, I''m looking for some help in getting my domU network aware. Currently I can run /etc/xen/scripts/network from dom0 to successfully create xen-br0. After I do this, dom0 can still access any network resource that it could before. However, when I start up a domU, it can only ping dom0; it fails to connect to any other ip. I don''t receive any sort of error message,

Firewall problem resolved - cannot set up networking in domU
Hi James, Many thanks for your quick reply, and for the help. I''m now able to see the dom0 machine from the network, but I can''t seem to get into our out of dom1. I can''t see any IP addresses on my network such as 192.168.1.10 from within dom1, nor can I ping the machine''s address from dom0 or elsewhere on the network. My dom1 is a just a copy of the

Bug#631102: xen: Xen guests on Squeeze lose networking randomly
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64 Version: 4.0.1-2 Severity: grave File: xen Justification: renders package unusable Debian Squeeze Dom0, up to date. Networking is handled by OS scripts, such that br0 and br1 are bridge interfaces. Without warning, the DomU (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS) loses inbound connectivity. It tends to happen after several hours. It doesn't seem to be affected by throughput

dom0 bootup -- Device eth0 has differet mac address than expected
CentOS 4.1, Xen 2.0.7. My dom0 is booting up but can''t get to the outside network because eth0 won''t start due to, apparently, Xen providing a different mac address than expected. How do I tell Xen to start eth0 at the bootup with a specific mac address that lines up with the HWADDR= line in my ifcfg-eth0? Note that a normal bootup into CentOS 4.1 outside of the Grub Xen bootup

can dom0 use a virtual interface ( vif0.0 ? ) instead of a physical one?
Hello, At first i want to thank you for your work on such a wonderful piece of software. If can get my setup running as planned it will help me to use my hardware ressources in a much more efficient way. I''m a xen newbie an trying to setup following environment: xen-2.0.4 compiled from source hardware: 2 PIV 3GHz Processors, 1GB RAM, 2 NICs Dom0: Debian Sarge kernel 2.6.10 on xen-br0

DOMU loses outside connection
When I start xen dom0 I get that same dhcp address for eth0 and for xen-br0, dom0 can talk to the world. If I start each of my 3 domU''s mannually, each guest gets a xen-br0 vif with a dhcp address and all 3 can talk to the outside world and each other (my "flat network"). What I want is a tiered network with the first domU acting as a firewall with 3 nics vif = [

Xen support patch for package `bridge-utils' available
Hello! One month ago I created a patch and submitted it to the Debian `bridge-utils' package's tracker: <http://bugs.debian.org/405215>. I thought it may be helpful for others to know about it and wanted to inform you this way, as the `bridge-utils' maintainers didn't make any attempts so far to comment on it or even include it. I use it this way: dom0's

Broken br0
Hello, I wanted to get an extra IP on my local NIC, so I ran `sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.130/24 dev enp4s0`. This didn't work as intended, so I thought I'd restart the Ubuntu system to have things back to how they were. Alas, this didn't happen. While the host still has network as usual, none of the VMs are able to get a DHCP lease from the router, or any connectivity at all. I can

xen-br1
Hi, I''m setting up my first xen machine, and I''m trying to setup two Virtual Machines, each mapped to a physical adapter on a different network. The virtual machine mapped to xen-br0 and eth0 works fine. However, when I bring up a VM with this configuration file: ----------------- name = "test77" kernel = "/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.11.12-xenU" root =

Errors creating Domu with xl/xm on Xen 4.1.5 with Fedora Dom0
I want to get couple of DomUs running with Xen. I installed Xen 4.1.5 from source on a Fedora 17 Dom0. I did some reading on configuring DomUs using xl/xm and cfg files. http://www.fclose.com/b/linux/2544/setting-up-lvm-backed-xen-domu/ http://www.fclose.com/w/Setting_Up_Xen_DomU_on_Fedora:_Unmodified_Fedora_on_Top_of_Xenified_Fedora_Xen_Dom0%23Install_Fedora_12_Linux_via_Internet So basically I
