Centos 6.4 - doesnt power off with shutdown/poweroff cmd
Hello,
I'm looking for help figuring out why I am having problems with shutting
down a machine.
I have tested the machine using Fedora 19 and Ubuntu 12 Live CD's and both
power down without issues.
I added acpi.debug_level=1 to the grub boot as it was suggested to see more
info about ACPI in the logs
I found the following ACPI Errors in the /var/log/messages

Unable to bring up Mini-OS on x86_64
I am getting the following error when I try to bring up Mini-OS on x86_64 Xen (unstable: 9994). It is dying in xc_linux_build() causing xend to fault and restart. Any clue why this happening? Has something changed in the builder that Mini-OS needs to be aware of?
PS: I tried reverting changeset 9993 (Allow linking of mini-os with application-specific object code), but still got the same error

I have a laptop Dell Latitude D520 that is a resource on a pool. I enabled
wakeonlan on BIOS and used ethtool to enable the ''g'' flag on the eth0
network interface. When I use ''halt'' and try to send a magic packet
(wakeonlan -i MASK MAC) through another LAN machine, nothing happens. I even

RE: Fix for SMP xen dom0/domU for x86_64
The Patch I made for SMP dom0 is also applicable to SMP domU. The issue
is same for dom0 & domu as they both are compiled from the same code.
The dom0 fix I sent earlier also fixes the domU SMP issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Nitin

control ip address of VM
HI
I have 15 vm (libvirt + kvm) with a network brigde and ip address like
192.168.0.1 VM1
192.168.0.2 VM2
192.168.0.3 VM3

The vm are use by other people and I want to be sure that if someone

for him and can't flood the VM1
What the best way to achieve this
Hope I m clear enough

force samba4 DC not to add all interfaces IP's to DNS?
Hi
I have a samba4 DC which also provides same KVM virtualisation services.
During provision all IP numbers of all network interfaces where added to DNS, even the private KVM brigde Interfaces.
Therefore clients which ask the DNS for AD-DNS records often get the IP of a an interface as answer, which is not reachable.
This slows down things like login etc.
I removed the DNS entries of the

MBA protection needed (quite off topic)
Hi all,
I'm new to this mailing list but I'm using this product since I'm in
charge of making a clustering distribution using PXE of course.
Yesterday night I was fighting with a problem of WakeOnLan (off topic).
Everything is working now but my PXE ROM (MBA on 3com products) should
be started for having the Wake On Lan feature working.
If a run a Linux, shut it down, thisWakeOnLan

[SOLUTION/Summary] ..all my routing / VPN problems.

Look at http://statler.mupp.net/shorewall/Layout.jpg
Basically.
The shorewall knows the route to the .224.0/24 net is through .221.221.
The systems in .221.0/24 has the FW as their default gw.
The FW could reach

Can this be done with PXELinux?
Hi
This is what I like to be able to do.
1. Computer boot on LAN, using PXELinux.
2. If the computer is booting for the first time it sends MAC adr, RAM, size of harddrive and name of videocard to a shared folder on a computer, maybe a server, that is attached to the network.
3. If this is not the first time it scan for a new task, could be a new ghostimage or an unattended installation of a
