Problem with installing/running domU OS on HVM machine
Hi, I have problem installing or running domU OS (Windows XP or Redhat 7.3). The machine runs CentOS 4.4 X86_64, Xen-3.0.3. Paravirtual domU works without problem. Kernel panic - em0 culprit?
Hello, My server is experiencing occasional kernel panics when under moderate load. I'm attaching a crash dump and the dmesg output. I'm not sure how to read the kernel backtrace but it looks like the Intel NIC (em0) caused the problem. Occasionally, I used to get a "em0: watchdog timeout -- resetting" error message, but I never had a kernel panic. The problem started last

More on Problems with PXELinux and ramdisk not loading
Had to changed the Subject header because the mailing list software thought the previous one ("so old bootloader" ...) was suspicious. Just a backgrounder and a little more info I've gathered: Trying to install Fedora Core 3 via PXE using DHCP-TFTP. Kernel loads but initrd isn't used for rootfs. The machine's an AMD Athlon 64-based box with 512MB physical memory (one DDR

Cross-subvolume link causes kernel BUG
Hi. While testing subvolumes in btrfs on 2.6.32.9, I hit a kernel BUG: [ 492.164012] kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/inode.c:4365! The commands to reproduce this bug are as follows: # mount -t btrfs /dev/sda5 /scratch # btrfsctl -S subvol /scratch # date > /scratch/date # ln /scratch/date /scratch/subvol/ ln segfaults, and the bug above is found in dmesg. Subsequent accesses to the subvolume

How to fix an out-of-sync node?
I have a setup with 3 nodes running GlusterFS. gluster volume create myBrick replica 3 node01:/mnt/data/myBrick node02:/mnt/data/myBrick node03:/mnt/data/myBrick Unfortunately node1 seemed to stop syncing with the other nodes, but this was undetected for weeks! When I noticed it, I did a "service glusterd restart" on node1, hoping the three nodes would sync again. But this did not

SIP X100P Echo Problems
Like most others on this list I also have some really annoying echo whenever a call goes out to the PSTN from a SIP phone... SNOM/Budgettone -> Asterisk -> X100P -> PSTN I have tried every echo canceler in the makefile and turned on and off aggressive suppressor etc. etc. etc. tried 32,16,128, and 256 bridgetaps and I can get it reduced to only a few seconds on the intro of the call and

Network stops responding after some time
Hi there, I''m using the Suse Enterprise 10 RC2 along with Xen 3.0.2 on X86-64 and I''m experiencing a problem with the network. I boot into the Xen kernel and everything works just fine. I can browse the net etc. However after a while the network stops responding completely. I am not sure what causes this to happen or what triggers it. After a few hours, the network just stops

Sound like your tincs are talking to each other over and over. Can we get some info from tinc.conf and tinc host files.. need to see some ip address configs for tinc. Console to RHEL6.1 container
We are trying to create RHEL6.1 container and having trouble getting a proper console to the container. I have used lxc containers in the past and lxc has a script (lxc-fedora) to setup a basic Fedora container. Is there something similar or docs with virtmgr ? We started out making a copy of the root fs and using that copy as the root for the container. I made a couple of tweaks to the

Cannot load wcfxo -- Please help!
I'm afraid that I am at a loss here. I am new to Asterisk, and have successfully set up SIP. But I cannot get my FXS card working, and I'm not sure what else I can try. # modprobe wcfxo /lib/modules/2.4.21-37.0.1.ELsmp/misc/wcfxo.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters. Can't get if_txp(4) to attach to a 3CR990B-TXM NIC
Good morning, I'm having a bit of an issue getting a 3CR990B-TXM NIC detected and usable. Just wondering if anyone knows of any issues with this NIC chipset and/or with the motherboard chipset. The motherboard is a Biostar GeForce 6100 AM2 using an nVidia nForce 410 chipset and nVidia GeForce 6100 vide chipset. I've tried FreeBSD 6.1, 6.2, 6-STABLE (from Wed), and 7-CURRENT (from

Serial ATA Errors
Hello Everyone, I started seeing some ata errors on a server running FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE that I've never seen before. This probably has something to do with it but we just upgraded the RAM on the server from 1 GB to 2 GB (DDR 400), perhaps a cable got slightly loose. I'm pretty certain the hard drives are good since the server ran fine prior to the memory upgrade. What do the errors below

Screaming Interrupt error and hang.
One system I have is configured thusly: AMD Duron 1200 (I have frequency restrictions in this application, and must stay below 1.3GHz or must be above 2.0GHz, and the 1200 fits nicely in our interference plan; besides, I was given the chip, and it's fast enough for the application). very high traffic without any load
Hi everyone,   I am new to using tinc and currently trying to set up a full IPv6 mesh between 4 servers of mine. Setting it up went smoothly and all of the tinc clients do connect properly. Routing through the network works fine as well. There is however a large amount of management traffic which I assume should not be the case.   Here is a quick snapshot using "tinc -n netname top"
