domU device access : kernel problem
Hi all, I have a little question about a problem i''m experiencing with the new xen 2.0.7: I installed in on a debian box, dom0 starts with no problem, also the domains i copied over from my 2.0.6 box start rightaway BUT: i needed a custom kernel (i want to play with PCI device acces in domU) so i grabbed the 2.0.7 source and compiled the 2.6.11-domU kernel (with the standard config)

strange VLAN / domu behavior
Hi there! I am currently setting up a Xen box on 3 VLans, each VLan interface is in a bridge and currently, dom0 is reachable from on of these and is performing great. My only problem is with domU : it can ping anything but it won''t work for TCP and UDP protocol UNLESS I do a manual tcpdump on my vlan interface. Bridges on dom0: xen-vl97 8000.001372529fbf no

xenconsole: How to get out?
Hi, XEN has a console that works in text mode ("xm console", e.g. via SSH). However with a German keyboard I''m having trouble to get out of the console again. Usually I login to Dom0 from another terminal, and then kill the xenconsole process. However I''d wish there was an easier way to get out. Maybe add a configurable escape key like for SSH? [PATCH] Paravirtual framebuffer use xvc for xenconsole [4/6]
This is the patch from Amos Waterland for the xenconsole to use /dev/xvc0 instead of taking over ttys. I''ve fixed a few places which needed to check for XVC mode in addition to serial mode. Also, until LANANA responds with an official minor, I''ve adjusted it to use char 250/187 (in the experimental range) as opposed to 204/187 Signed-off-by: Jeremy Katz

How to run Windows on Xen 3.0 with VT
We have an Intel VT system, and we have successfully installed Xen 3.0 on it, but we cannot find out how to run Windows as a guest OS. Someone on this mailing list has successfully done it, but did not say how. Thanks, - Hao _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Tutorial : Debian, Xen and CLUSTER / GFS Support
Hello there! I made Debian, Xen 2.0 and CLUSTER/GFS work together :). I wrote this little tutorial to help you setup yours. Any feedback is welcome, except comments about W3C validation of my code :p Note that I am talking about compiling CLUSTER with your XEN kernel, I don''t explain how to setup a working cluster. You can find how to setup those in official RedHat docs. You will see,

NAT/SIP solution?
Greetings, I was wondering if somebody is working on a solution to the NAT/SIP-issues? It seems to me that the problem has been identified, is that correct? Just hoping that someone with more skills will provide us with a solution sooner or later... Regards, Stig -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

icy-metaint in header and in stream data
Normally icy-metaint is a line in the http header, but some stream only sends it in the response data is self. Where can I find such a stream? Is that compliant to the standard? Implementation that also parses the response data http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8621353/textview-not-updating-shoutcast-stream-metadata-in-android-2-2 Thank Stig -- Best Regards / Mvh Stig Christensen stig

Recover files from overwritten zpool?
To make a long story short, after a Solaris reinstall I needed to access a disk from the previous install. I realize now I should have done a zpool import, but instead I recreated the pool, thinking this would bring my file system back. I destroyed the new pool, but other than that I have done nothing to overwrite data. Is it possible to recover the data from the old pool? --Stig

Bug#433780: xen-utils-common: /etc/init.d/xend restart should restart xenstored and xenconsole
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0.3-0-2 Severity: normal There should be a clean and clearly defined way to restart all the Xen daemons in the case of error. If the file /var/lib/xenstored/tdb is corrupt then you must stop xenstored, rm the file, and then restart it. Currently there is no defined way of doing this so the solution is to kill -9 the process, rm the file, and then reboot. --

xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory
After upgrading to build 125 if indiana, I have not been able to get the xen stuff running. Downgrading back to 111b make things work again. Under 125, after the boot has completed without errors, my xvm domain (a gentoo pv domain) looks like it is running but it does not build up time and never seems to complete its boot. Trying to connect to the console give the error xenconsole: Could not
