Cummerbund differential expression data analysis package issue
Hi all, I'm having the same issue as in this previous post: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/R-error-td4200447.html#a4209042 And as another user of Biostar: http://www.biostars.org/post/show/42562/cummerbund-isnt-managing-cuffdiff-database/#42895 Whereby I'm trying to output cuffdiff data into cummeRbund, but it appears to be having issues with connection to a database (below). Does anyone

2D density tophat
Hello R users, I have successfully created a square (or more generally, rectangular) tophat smoothing routine based on altering the already available KDE2D. I would be keen to implement a circular tophat routine also, however this appears to be much more difficult to write efficiently (I have a routine, but it's very slow). I tried to create one based on using crossdist to create a distance

lda on curves
I'm working on a rather interesting consulting problem with a client. A number of physical variables are measured on a number of cricket bowlers in the performance of a delivery. An example variable might be a directional component of angular momentum for a particular joint measured at a large number (101) of equally spaced timepoints. Each bowler generates a (fairly smooth) curve for

(newb) Installing on windows w/Eaton 5110.
I like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent when it comes to systems (MS in Comp Sci, albeit a few hundred moons ago), but I seem to be missing something when it comes to installing NUT on a 64 bit windows XP system. I downloaded and attempted it install but the installer said I needed to install libusb manually. So I went and grabbed that, unpacked the ZIP file and ran the

R to automate scatter plots
Hi R people! I have a directory of .csv files I would like to make into objects then scatter plots. I have been having varying degrees of progress. I was able make an object of all files, loop through it, and make a pdf of the last file I looped through. I kept renaming the pdf so instead of ending up with 27 pdfs I got one, with the data from the last file I have been tweaking with it

Asterisk: BYE is received late
Hi, I'm having an issue with all my calls going out my SIP provider. I'm using a softphone registering to a local Asterisk PBX (I'm using Jitsi by the way - it's great and actively growing). I register as extension 4053 to asterisk server at 10.215.147.115 (alias IP - real IP addr. is 10.215.147.111) and dial a phone number that is routed via an Internet SIP provider. The call

memory leak in newhidups 0.28 (2.0.3)
There is a memory leak in newhidups. After 23 days uptime it used 138M memory. Apart from the memory leak, the system works ok. Is there anything I can do to help fix this problem? Tor. Qos, HFSC and VoIP
Hello, I''m using Linux kernel 2.6.x and tc (from iproute2 package). I''m trying to use HTB or HFSC scheduler in order to limite the rate of outgoing packets and also in order to minimiez delay for RTP stream. But I didn''t suceed in having this 2 QoS services working. I use Iptables in order to classify packets. Here is my HFSC conf. In fact the pings that i send from

Networking issue (after latest 5.1 update?)
I'm not *entirely* sure but this began happening at about the time I installed the latest kernel updates for CentOS 5.1 (kernel-2.6.18-53.1.6.el5.i686.rpm from January 24). Shortly before that I changed the encryption on my wireless router and switched from ndiswrapper back to the standard bcm43xx driver, but I'm pretty sure the network was OK before that update for the simple reason that

x86_64 timer resolution in ping results
Hi, There seems to be a problem with the timer resolution on x86_64. This is clear in ping results - I don't know if it's just a ping problem or if it manifests elsewhere as well. It does also affect mtr and traceroute times. I guess it's more a kernel issue than a CentOS problem, but is anyone else seeing the same? Ping results have a resolution of 10ms - so a ping <10ms

Fwd: Traffic Shaping on a Transparent Bridge not working!
I''m trying to shape traffic on a Devil-Linux box. This note was originally sent to their maillist, because the LARTC list appears to have been down for the past few days. My mailbox was just flooded with a half dozen or so confirmation requests in response to my repeated attempts to subscribe to this list. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: drew einhorn

RE: CBQ-wondershaper superior over HTB-wondershaper?
Hello Thilo, What did you find superior with CBQ-wondershaper over HTB-wondershaper? We have not been using wondershaper specifically but our simple tests so far seem to show that htb is much easier to configure for a given target shape (i.,e accurate) compared to CBQ.
