Samba KDC not running
Hi,
I have an issues that involves KDC, it is quite complex so I'll try to
be really specific.
I was running Samba42 with a secondary server replicating all was
working fine. After we upgrade to Samba43 we start with the issues:
1. Replication wasn't working anymore error (WERR_LOGON_FAILURE)
2. Kerberos is also broken. On the Primary DC wouldn't allow me to to a

smbd running multiple times
Dear "someone who can help",
I am having a problem with SAMBA and SWAT (although
I'm not sure SWAT is part of the problem...) I get
two instances of "smbd" when ever it is started on
this system. From SWAT I can only stop it ONE time.
After that, each time I attempt to stop the SMBD
daemon from SWAT it simply starts TWO more instances

Mount fails with EBUSY if running xen0 kernel
Hi,
I''ve two SCSI disks attached to my system (Ubuntu Dapper).
One is the system disk. The other one should be used for the guest images.
My problem now is that I cannot mount /dev/sdb1 (ext3 fs) when booted with a
xen0 kernel (2.6.12-xen0 as well as 2.6.16-xen0). Booting the normal Dapper
kernel (2.6.15 no xen support) the disk mounts fine.
strace mount /dev/sdb1 /images

Installation works fine, Xen Install from Sources also. But after reboot

IPsec broken in 2.6.12-xen0?
Hello,
Is IPsec using ESP in tunnel mode broken on the current 2.6.12-xen0
kernels?
(I.e., one endpoint of the tunnel is the dom0 kernel)
Thanks
Reiner

iscsi boot xen0 initrd
In case it helps anyone, here''s a script I use to boot xen0 over iscsi
with an initrd using linux-iscsi and iscsi-init (both on sourceforge).
Some (or most) of it might be debian (sarge) specific though. The script
goes in /etc/mkinitrd/scripts and puts the bits and pieces in place. It
has to prepend stuff to /script in the resultant initrd so it does a few
funny things. Add your Ethernet

arping between two xen0 works, ping doesn''t (not checksum issue)
I have two Xen 3.0.2 domains, both are using network-bridge, both
servers are in the same network.
dom0_A, domU_A - first Xen server (dom0 and domU)
dom0_B, domU_B - first Xen server (dom0 and domU)
I cannot ping or connect from one dom0_A to dom0_B nor domU_B. arping
works fine though.
I can ping and connect from domU_A to dom0_B and domU_B, though.

xen0 and xenU for linux-2.6.27-xen.hg
Hello,
please can someone on the list point me to the right direction how to
build xen0 and xenU kernels for linux-2.6.27-xen.hg?
A make world KERNELS="linux-2.6-xen0 linux-2.6-xenU" leads me to the error:

xenU / xen0 - or a single (xen) kernel?
from the README:
" These are smaller builds with just selected
modules, intended primarilly for developers that don''t like to wait
for a -xen kernel to build. The -xenU kernel is particularly small
as it does not contain any physical device drivers, and hence is
only useful for guest domains."
correct me here, but does that mean for a typical rollout you want to

ident daemon: oIdentd creating a lot of processes
hi! all,
i'm using oidentd-2.0.8 installed through /usr/ports/security/oidentd
for ident authentication
what puzzled me is when im starting the daemon using the script
provided at /usr/local/etc/rc.d/oidentd.sh it will create a lot of
process ID and my system will become slow
CPU resources will turn upside down rapidly from 90+% idle to always 0% idle
this is the PIDs while querying daemon

hardware-watchdog driver problems in linux 2.6.10-xen0
Hi!
I''m trying to run w83627hf_wdt.ko watchdog driver in domain 0 (xenlinux
2.6.10-xen0), but the driver doesn''t seem to work (the machine reboots all
the time after the watchdog-timeout set in BIOS).
Is there something that could prevent the driver from accessing the
watchdog-hardware (io-ports/registers) ?
The watchdog-driver is very simple, and you can find it in

Restarting / shutting down a xen0 server
Hi all,
my main xen test system is a pizza box, simply standard.
The kernel of stable debian sarge can shut it down/restart it correctly.
My own xen kernel (based on debians inofficial xen kernel) cannot.
I do not know much of kernels and hardware yet, so please help me to
understand:
Is shutting down (as opposed to writing "power down" to the screen) or
restarting based on APM or

X windows is taking 99 percent of cpu
I am running centos 4.2 on a P4 3 GIG with 2 GIG ram.
This machine has been fine for months. my laptop is fine.
X is taking 99 percent of the cpu after some time. All I was doing was
editing code.
If I killall -9 X it comes back for a while then maxes out again.
Any ideas on something to tweek??? THanks,

duplicate commands
Hi,
I just upgraded to CentOS 5.3 last night and see these duplicate
commands (migration/0, migration/1) when running top -c?
Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it to make only one command show
up?
