Availability of OCFS 1.0.14 for RHAS 2.1 Itanium64
Do you have a timeline when the OCFS 1.0.14-1 will be available on RHAS 2.1 Itanium 64 platform? Or is there going to be one? We notice that OCFS 1.0.14-1 has been available for RHAS 2.1 32 bit for quite a while. Thanks. using samba with bind dlz
I found the file /usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/samba/provision/sambadns.py I was looking through it and seemed to come across the area where I am having problems. In the create_dns_dir function I wanted to see what paths.dns had and what dns_dir where getting set to. so I did a simple print and found paths.dir is set to /var/lib/samba/private/dns/fedora.methanemaker.mooo.com.zone and

DVD install via NFS asks for CD #1 ISO
Hi all, I'm installing Centos 5.0 (fresh install) x86_64 via NFS. I've downloaded just the DVD iso via bittorrent, but when it starts the graphical installation phase an error message appears telling me that anaconda can't find the CD iso in the remote server. Seems that's looking for Centos-5.0-x86_64-bin-1of7.iso, I'm downloading it right now to go ahead but... I think

Booting a complete CD iso image via PXE: SystemRescueCD
I couldn't find this information in the mailing list archive, so I thought I mention if it someone else runs into the same problem. While some mails in the archive point out that it is not possible to just take a CD iso image and boot it over PXE, it *is* possible to boot over PXE and the download the rest of the image into RAM over ethernet. Anyone else experience any difficulty with the install routine recognizing disk 3? I'm trying to install 4-beta under vmware and have had the same problem with either mounting the ISO or burning to disk. I can mount and read no problem from my parent linux installation but the install routine under vmware is complaining that it's the wrong disk. (no other install problems under vmware

Migrate from RHAS 4 to CentOS 4.2
I have a SGI Altix 350 (ia64) that came with RHAS 4, but without any paid support. I would like to migrate the server over to CentOS. Here is what I've pieced together from some older posts by Johnny, can someone confirm this should work? I know this is somewhat covered in the FAQ, although both entries refer to FC or WBEL, which already have built-in yum support. Install the

[LXC] Attempt to start X in guest makes host X die
I have attempted to start X in a rawhide LXC guest on a Fedora 16 host, using echo a > /sys/fs/cgroup/devices/libvirt/lxc/Rawhide/devices.allow to allow me to create all the necessary devices in /dev in the guest (dangerous, I know, but I only ran that command after the guest systemd finished booting). This is with the nouveau open source driver. I ran X using /usr/bin/startx -- :7
