Corosync init-script broken on CentOS6
Hello all,
I am trying to create a corosync/pacemaker cluster using CentOS 6.0.
However, I'm having a great deal of difficulty doing so.
Corosync has a valid configuration file and an authkey has been generated.
When I run /etc/init.d/corosync I see that only corosync is started.
>From experience working with corosync/pacemaker before, I know that
this is not enough to have a functioning

[PATCH] qemu pcnet emulation fixes
The attached patch to the qemu emulation of the pcnet hardware fixes
several problems. It will now only read and write a transmit or receive
descriptor once. It will correctly handle transmitting frames with more
than two fragments. It will discard oversize frames instead of
corrupting memory. I have tested all the changes I have made and even
seen an improvement in receive performance from

rsync and tunneling via ssh
Hi,
I have setup a rsync server with a rsync running as a deamon, due to security
rules I cannot open the rsync standard port (873) in the firewall.
We have to tunnel rsync through ssh.
On the client side, which is linux kernel 2.4 I have made the following script,
but
ssh -i /home/ifao/bin/traveltest -f -C -L 2211:cib.ifao.net:8730
cytric@localhost sleep 1000
rsync -auz --password-file=rsync.cib

Fwd: HA cluster - strange communication between nodes
Hi,
For a testing purposes I'm trying to create two node HA environment for
running some service (openvpn and haproxy). I installed two CentOS 6.4
KVM guests.
I was able to create a cluster and some resources. I followed the document
https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Configuring_the_Red_Hat_High_Availability_Add-On_with_Pacemaker/index.html

Pacemaker bugs?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi!
I think I stumbled on at least two bugs in the CentOS 7.2 pacemaker package,
though I'm not quite sure if or where to report it.
I'm using the following package to set up a 2-node active/passive cluster:
[root at clnode1 ~]# rpm -q pacemaker
pacemaker-1.1.13-10.el7_2.4.x86_64
The installation is up-to-date on both nodes as of the

Large Corosync/Pacemaker clusters
Hi,
We''re setting up fairly large Lustre 2.1.2 filesystems, each with 18
nodes and 159 resources all in one Corosync/Pacemaker cluster as
suggested by our vendor. We''re getting mixed messages on how large of a
Corosync/Pacemaker cluster will work well between our vendor an others.
1. Are there Lustre Corosync/Pacemaker clusters out there of this
size or larger?

Calculating confidence limits on acf graphs
Hello,
I was wondering if anybody could help me with this?
I have plotted an acf function for a time series and am very happy with it.
Now I am interested in calculating for myself the two values for the confidence
intervals that are plotted on the graph of the acf.
The confidence intervals do not appear to be returned from the acf function (is this true?).
So far I haven't managed to

changes to terms.formula in 2.3.x
Hi, all,
I just recently noticed a change in terms.formula from 2.2.1 to 2.3.1
(possibly 2.3.0, but I didn't check). Here's the problem:
## 2.2.1
> update(~ x | y, z ~ .)
z ~ x | y
## 2.3.1
> update(~ x | y, z ~ .)
z ~ (x | y)
and in the NEWS for 2.3.1
o terms.formula needed to add parentheses to formulae with
terms containing '|'. (PR#8462)
So, there must be

OT hardware question
With the continuing annoyance from motion, my manager's asked me to go
looking again for a video surveillance appliance: basically, a
motion-detecting DVR and cameras. The big thing, of course, is a) price
(this is a US federal gov't agency, and being civilian, money is *tight*,
don't give me the libertarian/GOP line about how freely we spend,
thankyouverymuch), b) it has to be on the
