o2net patch that avoids socket disconnect/reconnect
This fix modifies o2net layer behavior which seems to trigger some DLM race issues during umount/evictions that needs to be fixed as well. I am working on the dlm issues but meanwhile please review this patch. Thanks, --Srini

O2CB global heartbeat - hopefully final drop!
All, This is hopefully the final drop of the patches for adding global heartbeat to the o2cb stack. The diff from the previous set is here: http://oss.oracle.com/~smushran/global-hb-diff-2010-10-07 Implemented most of the suggestions provided by Joel and Wengang. The most important one was to activate the feature only at the end, Also, got mostly a clean run with checkpatch.pl. Sunil

[PATCH] o2net: Reconnect after idle time out.
Currently, o2net connects to a node on hb_up and disconnects on hb_down and net timeout. It disconnects on net timeout is ok, but it should attempt to reconnect back. This is because sometimes nodes get overloaded enough that the network connection breaks but the disk hb does not. And if we get into that situation, we either fence (unnecessarily) or wait for its disk hb to die (and sometimes hang

[PATCH net-next 12/17] ocfs2: Use sendmsg(MSG_SPLICE_PAGES) rather than sendpage()
Fix ocfs2 to use the page fragment allocator rather than kzalloc in order to allocate the buffers for the handshake message and keepalive request and reply messages. Switch from using sendpage() to using sendmsg() + MSG_SPLICE_PAGES so that sendpage can be phased out. [PATCH v3 52/55] ocfs2: Use sendmsg(MSG_SPLICE_PAGES) rather than sendpage()
Fix ocfs2 to use the page fragment allocator rather than kzalloc in order to allocate the buffers for the handshake message and keepalive request and reply messages. Slab pages should not be given to sendpage, but fragments can be. Switch from using sendpage() to using sendmsg() + MSG_SPLICE_PAGES so that sendpage can be phased out. [PATCH 01/11] ocfs2: event-driven quorum
This patch separates o2net and o2quo from knowing about one another as much as possible. This is the first in a series of patches that will allow userspace cluster interaction. Quorum is separated out first, and will ultimately only be associated with the disk heartbeat as a separate module. To do so, this patch performs the following changes: * o2hb_notify() is added to handle injection of

What is a better way to deal with lag/difference and loops in time series using R?

Hi, Everything compiled correctly for the ocfs2 package, but so far the modules will not load with the "well known" module symbol error. FATAL: Error inserting ocfs2 (/lib/modules/2.6.16.27-0.6-smp/kernel/fs/ocfs2/ocfs2.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) Okay not sure what is up here, any suggestions? BTW, this is the correct module location and I

hie.. how can i write a loop that makes algorithm keeps repeating until a solution is converged?do i use a for loop? i know that we can use for loop to ask for a number of repetitions, but how to use it to ask the algorithm to keep repeating until a solution is converged? NUT USB Delayed Communication
Good evening folks, So I configured NUT on a Raspberry Pi 4 both UPS are connected over USB however the switch from AC Power to Battery seems to be delayed on the NUT communication would anyone have any ideas? The Pi Reports that the UPS is on battery around 30 seconds later I think this delay is long. I have tested it on a physical computer and the detection is around 5 to 6 seconds with

Re: HugePages - can't start guest that requires them
*facepalm* Now that I'm re-reading the documentation it's obvious that <page/> and @nodeset are for the guest, "This tells the hypervisor that the guest should have its memory allocated using hugepages instead of the normal native page size." Pretty clear there. Thank you SO much for the guidance, I'll return to my tweaking. I'll report back here with my results.
