''my_var'' }

url_for params
Hi,
url_for has a nice way of using the current ''params'' object to fill in default
parameters in a route. For example,
map.connect '':controller/:action/:id/''
with <%= url_for :action => ''my_action'' %> will redirect to the current
controller. All very good.
However, I sometimes want a url_for() which includes current parameters

I''ve tried moving the code around in different ways, but so far I
haven''t gotten remote_function to work for me (I''m using Rails 2.3.2 on

page, and the Javascript function is being called when the ondblclick
event is fired, but nothing happens when it gets to my the "new

Issue with radiobutton and remote_function in IE.
Hi there!
I did implemented the radio button with remote_function to update some
div via RJS.
It works perfect with FireFox, but behaves weird with IE. When I click
the radio button
it loads data (I see the indicator showing) but not updates the div with
info until I click
left mouse button anywhere.
It''s weird =(
Here is the snippet from .rhtml code

link_to_remote, image_tag, mouseover is this possible?
Hi guys,
I was wondering if you are able to have a link_to_remote, having an
image_tag and the link_to_remote has a mouseover event that updates a
div. Does the image_tag need the mouseover event? I currently have:
<%= link_to_remote(image_tag(@p_image.public_filename(:thumb)), :update
=> "big_pic", :onmouseover => {:action => :color_change, :id =>
@p_image.id})%>

remote_function posting?
Hi, I''ve noticed that my remote_function calls are resulting in POST
requests. As a result, my routes do not apply since it does not generate a
url based on the parameters, but simply posts to the raw url with post data.
I want to make a GET request instead of a POST. How can I do that? Has
anyone else run into this?
Thanks, Ryan

Problem with url_for and https - overrides all options
I have a piece of code like this in one of my views:
<%=link_to "link here", :action=>''my_action'', :id=>1 %>
It works fine on my local development machine, running Webrick over http
and it works fine on my testing server which is running single mongrel
instance behind Apache 1.3 as a proxy. On both the outcome link is this:

:class in link_to_remote?
Is there a way to set the class of a link in link_to_remote? I tried
adding :class => "this_damn_class" after the :url hash and it didn''t
work.
I went ahead and did it manually using remote_function, i.e.
<a class="this_damn_class" href="#" onclick="<%= remote_function ...,
:url => {...} %>">My Link</a>

Dynamic drop-downs in a form_for using AJAX remote_function - Help
Hello -
I am fairly new to Ruby on Rails, but feel like I am learning quick.
I have what seems to be a fairly unique issue as I cannot find much
out there that describes what I''m seeing. Hopefully it''s a very
simple fix, and I simply can''t see the forest through all the trees!
I am attempting to create 2 related drop-down lists in the same
form_for, both using

</script>
This will loop I know :)
How can I achieve the same
