Sama + Windows Shadow Copies
Hello, i installed zfs-auto-snapshot with Samba/Windows Shadow Copy. If the share contains "path = /srv/userdata/" it runs for me. But if I use "path = /srv/userdata/%U" I get no "Previous Versions" on my Win10 Client. I think the problem is the variable "shadow: snapdir = .zfs/snapshot". I tried with "shadow: snapdir = ../.zfs/snapshot" and

[PATCH libnbd] generator: Swap parameters of nbd_add_close_callback.
The API changes from: int nbd_add_close_callback (struct nbd_handle *h, nbd_close_callback cb, void *user_data); to: int nbd_add_close_callback (struct nbd_handle *h, void *user_data, nbd_close_callback cb); The second way is consistent with how other callbacks work

Reading MySQL rows
Hi there, I?m having difficulties reading the content of some rows in my database. Tried to use some of the code at page 221 in the pickaxe, but didn?t make it work. The SQL query works fine directly against the database. mysql> select id, count, company from users where name = "martin"; +----+-------+------------+ | id | count | company | +----+-------+------------+ | 1 |

Re: [libnbd] More thoughts on callbacks and more
This has an annoying subtlety around the fact that we can pass a single user_data and multiple closures in one function call. The LIBNBD_CALLBACK_FREE function would be called several times with the same user_data in this case, which means the callback must do some kind of reference counting before the user_data can be freed. I propose that we split up Closure so it describes a single closure,

Roaming Profiles Configuration
Hello all! I am new to the mailing lists, as well as Samba. I was looking for an Active Directory alternative for linux, and finally landed on Samba4. My installation is alpha12, installed via apt on Ubuntu 10.10. I am trying to create roaming profiles, however, if "path = /UserData" then the profiles are viewable from every user account by simple accessing "

CYGWIN Rsync exclude/include problem
I'm having troubles with getting rsync 2.5.5 (CYGWIN version) to include/exclude files they way I expect it to. I have mulled over the list postings and man pages regarding this and I am either missing something or ... well I don' know. I have a drive with 12 folders in the root however, I only want to rsync 5 of them (the ones marked with an *) and in those 4 I want to exclude certain

[libnbd PATCH] lib: Consolidate free callbacks to just happen at retire time
When we introduced valid_flags, there was an incentive to do as few callbacks as possible, favoring cb(VALID|FREE) calls over the sequence cb(VALID);cb(FREE). To make it work, we set .callback=NULL after an early free, so that the later check during retirement didn't free again. But now that our .free callback is distinct from our other callbacks, there is no longer an advantage to bundling

Trouble with *8 Pickup
We have a client that has sporadic problems with the *8 pickup facility. The server they are using is 1.8.5 and they are using Snom phones. Every now and then when they try to do a pickup from another phone they get a forbidden message on the phone and I can see the following in the logs. [Aug 8 11:51:53] ERROR[19314] astobj2.c: user_data is NULL [Aug 8 11:51:53] ERROR[19314] astobj2.c:

[libnbd] More thoughts on callbacks and more
More thoughts on callbacks, etc. following on from: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-July/thread.html#00184 Closure lifetimes ----------------- Closures could have a lifetime if we had a little bit of support from the C library. We would generate (from C only): nbd_set_free_<fn>_<closure> (nbd, free_closure); which calls free_closure (user_data) as soon as the
