[SUGGESSTION 1/1] OCFS2: automatic dlm hash table size
backgroud: ocfs2 dlm uses a hash table to store dlm_lock_resource objects. the often used lookup is performed on the hash table. problem: for usages that there are huge number of inodes(thus huge number of dlm_lock_resource objects) in a ocfs2 volume, the lookup performance becomes a problem. the lookup holds spin_lock which could put all others cpus into the state of aquring the spinlock. if

Solaris 11 System Reboots Continuously Because of a ZFS-Related Panic (7191375)
I''ve hit this bug on four of my Solaris 11 servers. Looking for anyone else who has seen it, as well as comments/speculation on cause. This bug is pretty bad. If you are lucky you can import the pool read-only and migrate it elsewhere. I''ve also tried setting zfs:zfs_recover=1,aok=1 with varying results. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26502_01/html/E28978/gmkgj.html#scrolltoc

dlmglue fixes
David, So here are the two patches. Remove all patches that you have and apply these. The first one is straight forward. The second one will hopefully fix the livelock issue you have been encountering. People reviewing the patches should note that the second one is slightly different than the one I posted earlier. It removes the BUG_ON in the if condition where we jump to update_holders. The

Idletimeout patch
While I was updating our ssh-servers, I rewrote my old patch that adds idletimeout (just like in old ssh1) parameter to openssh. Since reapplying the patch for all new versions of openssh is not fun at all, I would like to have it included in the official openssh, if you consider the patch worthy. Unlike ClientAlive, idletimeout works for both protocol versions. It also works together with

[PATCH] ocfs2: Plugs race between the dc thread and an unlock ast message
This patch plugs a race between the downconvert thread and an unlock ast message. Specifically, after the downconvert worker has done its task, the dc thread needs to check whether an unlock ast made the downconvert moot. Dovecot waking every 50ms when doing nothing
Hi, My laptop runs a local IMAP server so that I'm immune from breaking my mail client, and when playing around with powertop I discovered that Dovecot (in particular imap-login) wakes up every 1000ms and then every 50ms even when no clients are connected. A bit of stracing shows this: gettimeofday({1180875699, 667917}, NULL) = 0 <0.000010> poll([{fd=7,
