[PATCH 1/2] ocfs2: Delay inode update transactions after verifying the input flags
There is no need to start the inode update transactions before/while verifying the input flags. As a refinement, this patch delay the transactions utill the pre-check up is ok. [PATCH] ocfs2: Limit default local alloc size within bitmap range.
In commit 6b82021b9e91cd689fdffadbcdb9a42597bbe764, we increase our local alloc size and calculate how much megabytes we can get according to group size and volume size. But we also need to check the maximum bits a local alloc block bitmap can have. With a bs=512, cs=32K, local volume with 160G, it calculate 96MB while the maximum local alloc size is only 76M. So the bitmap will overflow and

[PATCH] ocfs2: return f_fsid info in ocfs2_statfs(), v4
Currently f_fsid of struct kstatfs returned from ocfs2_statfs() is undefined (vfs layer fills 0 as default). Since in some conditions, f_fsid value might be used as (f_fsid, ino) pair to uniquely identify a file, ocfs2 should return a unique defined f_fsid value from ocfs2_statfs(). Because uuid_str is identified no mater on big or litlle endian machine, it's also endian consistent to use

OCFS2 performance - disk random access time problem
Hello. I plan to use OCFS2 + DRBD for email server. Problem: I use "seeker" for testing http://www.linuxinsight.com/how_fast_is_your_disk.html And get this: Results: 65 seeks/second, 15.23 ms random access time Then I do rm of many files - it fals to 10 seeks/second and performance is terrible. What can I do to increase it? What`s wrong? Below is many info. What we have: Debian

[PATCH] ocfs2: Always try for maximum bits with new local alloc windows
What we were doing before was to ask for the current window size as the maximum allocation. This had the effect of limiting the amount of allocation we could get for the local alloc during times when the window size was shrunk due to fragmentation. In some cases, that could actually *increase* fragmentation by artificially limiting the number of bits we can accept. So while we still want to ask

[PATCH] fs, ocfs2: Move o2net_get_func_run_time under CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS.
When CONFIG_DEBUG_FS=y and CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS=n, we get the following warning: fs/ocfs2/cluster/tcp.c:213:16: warning: ?o2net_get_func_run_time? defined but not used Since o2net_get_func_run_time is only called from o2net_update_recv_stats, so move it under CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS. [PATCH] ocfs2: Update VFS inode's id info after reflink.
In reflink we update the id info in the disk but forget to update the corresponding information in the VFS inode. So update them accordingly in case we want to preserve the attributes. [git patches] ocfs2 MAINTAINERS update
Hi Linus, I've taken a new job at SUSE labs, so my e-mail address needs an update. Going forward, I'll co-maintain Ocfs2 with Joel Becker so we need to put his information in there as well. Kurt deserves a very large amount of credit for his work on Ocfs2, but he has since moved on to other projects, so we'll just put Joel in his spot. So, it should more or less be business as

[git patches] ocfs2 fixes
Hi Linus, Here are some 2.6.20 fixes for ocfs2. The patch by Zhen Wei isn't really a fix, but a very small amount of support for a feature which is mostly implemented in ocfs2-tools. Considering it's just a single attribute export via configfs, I'd say it's pretty safe to merge. Please pull from 'upstream-linus' branch of

[PATCH] btrfs: add "no file data" flag to btrfs send ioctl
This patch adds the flag, BTRFS_SEND_FLAG_NO_FILE_DATA to the btrfs send ioctl code. When this flag is set, the btrfs send code will never write file data into the stream (thus also avoiding expensive reads of that data in the first place). BTRFS_SEND_C_UPDATE_EXTENT commands will be sent (instead of BTRFS_SEND_C_WRITE) with an offset, length pair indicating the extent in question. This patch

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs updates for 2.6.27
I'm running a bit late with the e-mail this time around, but I think that's ok since there really isn't any major new features here - the bulk of the Ocfs2 update is bug fixes, or cleanups. The same goes for configfs. The only two things that could be described as features would be: - Sunil has updated Ocfs2 to provide even more live cluster locking information via debugfs. - Joel

btrfs-progs: re-add send-test
From: Mark Fasheh <mfasheh@suse.de> btrfs-progs: re-add send-test send-test.c links against libbtrfs and uses the send functionality provided to decode and print a send stream to the console. 66819df "btrfs-progs: add send-test" contained this file when submitted, but somehow got lost on commit. DLMFS on OracleVM 2.1 (OEL5.0 based)
Hi List, I want to use DLMFS of OCFS2 to avoid multiple start of virtual machines on OracleVM. I want to use a wrapper around xm that spawns a deamon that keeps a file open in /dlm/DOMAIN. Now I played around a bit and followed the procedure in the document http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs2/src/branches/ocfs2-1.2/dlmfs.txt for DLMFS. Theres one problem. The "O_NONBLOCK" option is
