[PATCH V3] ocfs2: xattr: fix inlined xattr reflink
Inlined xattr shared free space of inode block with inlined data or data extent record, so the size of the later two should be adjusted when inlined xattr is enabled. See ocfs2_xattr_ibody_init(). But this isn't done well when reflink. For inode with inlined data, its max inlined data size is adjusted in ocfs2_duplicate_inline_data(), no problem. But for inode with data extent record, its

where do kernel data types come from?
I have a script where I can freely reference struct nameidata*, struct vnode*, etc. on Snow Leopard. How does DTrace know about these data types? I understand things like #pragma D depends_on library darwin.d where darwin.d has typedefs. I can''t find definitions of nameidata and vnode in any D scripts, though. How does it work? Thanks, Joel --- firefox for android!

Possible VFS KPI and KBI breakage on stable/7
There are three sets of changes that would benefit stable/7. Namely, there are 1. Improvements for the UFS unmount or rw->ro remount, that perform suspension during the operation. The changes depend on the the suspension mechanism path, that introduced the suspension owner, and added new VFS OP into the mount method table. This might also fix the hangs with gjournal or

[BUG] [PATCH]: handling bad inodes in 2.4.x kernels
hi folks, i already posted this to the kernel mailing list a few days ago but nobody there seems to be interested in what i found out. since i believe this is a serious bug, i'm posting my perception again... the bug is about the handling of bad inodes in at least the 2.4.16, .17, .18-pre9 and .9 kernel releases (i suspect all 2.4 kernels are affected) and causes the names_cache to get

[git patches] ocfs2 fixes
Hi Linus, Here are some 2.6.20 fixes for ocfs2. The patch by Zhen Wei isn't really a fix, but a very small amount of support for a feature which is mostly implemented in ocfs2-tools. Considering it's just a single attribute export via configfs, I'd say it's pretty safe to merge. Please pull from 'upstream-linus' branch of
