Openswan 2.4.6rc5 under CentOS 4.3
Hello,
I'm trying to get Openswan running in a CentOS 4.3 environment. I want to
modify as little as possible so that the machine can be kept up to date
easily. I'd rather not compile a special kernel, but if that's the only
solution, no problem (I don't need NAT traversal).
It's running kernel 2.6.9-34.0.2.EL. Installed the kerneldevel RPM (and
kernel src rpm as well). I

OT: General Help in chroot build environment
I am trying to compile a module for a Realtek 8168 for thinstation.
I have pulled the developer tarball and executed the script to enter its build environment.
I also have the source for the module I want to compile, but when I execute #make clean modules
it errors out. Reading the errors, I can see it tried to look for the kernel source of the systems actual

www.centos.org and the wildcard dns
hi guys,
At the moment there is a www.centos.org site. There is also a wildcard
dns setup that directs anything.centos.org to www.centos.org's content
This has a couple of 'issues' with SEO and google sepcifically. The
reason we have such low page rank is that google marks all of this as
duplicate content. I am sure there are other search engines that do as
well ( Bing has a

Kernel question(s): I/O handling
I have been chasing down the way the inode and page caches are
structured and handled, but there is a mystery I have not been able to
track down yet. How does the I/O queue that dirty inodes and pages are
put into when it's time to flush them out to disk get picked up? Also,
where are the sources for the I/O schedulers? I haven't been able to
locate them yet either.
I know this

OpenIPMI on a SunFire v20z
Hi all,
New to the list and (mostly) new to CentOS. We have just moved from
running RHEL to CentOS on our main production servers.
Anyway, I am configuring a couple of new SunFire v20z servers here at
the moment and trying to get the systems' management interfaces to work
fully under CentOS.
First issue was trying to install the openipmi RPM from the CD that came
with the SunFires, this RPM
