[patch 07/22] ocfs2: dlm_request_all_locks() should deal with the status sent from target node
From: Xue jiufei <xuejiufei at huawei.com>
Subject: ocfs2: dlm_request_all_locks() should deal with the status sent from target node
dlm_request_all_locks() should deal with the status sent from target node
if DLM_LOCK_REQUEST_MSG is sent successfully, or recovery master will fall
into endless loop, waiting for other nodes to send locks and
DLM_RECO_DATA_DONE_MSG to me.

[PATCH 0/62] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.26-rc1
The following series of patches comprises the bulk of our outstanding
changes for Ocfs2.
Aside from the usual set of cleanups and fixes that were inappropriate for
2.6.25, there are a few highlights:
The '/sys/o2cb' directory has been moved to '/sys/fs/o2cb'. The new location
meshes better with modern sysfs layout. A symbolic link has been placed in
the old location so as to

[PATCH 1/1] ocfs2: Add missing iput() during error handling in ocfs2_dentry_attach_lock()
In ocfs2_dentry_attach_lock(), if unable to get the dentry lock(), we need to
call iput(inode) because a failure here means no d_instantiate(), which means
the normally matching iput() will not be called during dput(dentry).
This patch fixes the oops that accompanies the following message:
(3996,1):dlm_empty_lockres:2708 ERROR: lockres W00000000000000000a1046b06a4382 still has local locks!

[PATCH] ocfs2/trivial: Code cleanup for allocation reservation.
Two tiny cleanup for allocation reservation.
1. Remove some extra codes in ocfs2_local_alloc_find_clear_bits.
2. Remove an unuseful variables in ocfs2_find_resv_lhs.

[git patches] Ocfs2 updates for 2.6.30
Hi,
The following patches comprise the bulk of Ocfs2 updates for the
2.6.30 merge window. Aside from larger, more involved fixes, we're adding
the following features, which I will describe in the order their patches are
mailed.
Sunil's exported some more state to our debugfs files, and
consolidated some other aspects of our debugfs infrastructure. This will
further aid us in debugging

[git patches] ocfs2 and configfs updates
These patches comprise the bulk of our outstanding changes for Ocfs2 and
Configfs.
Configfs gets some lockdep updates, and we remove it's EXPERIMENTAL tag as
things have been quite stable for some time now.
Ocfs2 gets fixes that made it in too late for 2.6.24, and several new
features. The most interesting are listed below:
We've been on the path to removing the "vote"

OCFS2 performance - disk random access time problem
Hello.
I plan to use OCFS2 + DRBD for email server.
Problem:
I use "seeker" for testing
http://www.linuxinsight.com/how_fast_is_your_disk.html
And get this:
Results: 65 seeks/second, 15.23 ms random access time
Then I do rm of many files - it fals to 10 seeks/second and performance
is terrible.
What can I do to increase it? What`s wrong?
Below is many info.
What we have:

[PATCH] ocfs2: Limit default local alloc size within bitmap range.
In commit 6b82021b9e91cd689fdffadbcdb9a42597bbe764, we increase
our local alloc size and calculate how much megabytes we can
get according to group size and volume size.
But we also need to check the maximum bits a local alloc block
bitmap can have. With a bs=512, cs=32K, local volume with 160G,
it calculate 96MB while the maximum local alloc size is only
76M. So the bitmap will overflow and

Memory leak in ocfs2/dlm?
Hi!
Seems we're facing some memory leak here. This is vanilla 2.6.19-rc6
on a x86_64 box, 4GB RAM.
A simple `ls -Rn' on a filesystem with lots of files makes the box
leak so much RAM that the OOM killer starts to kick in. With slab
alloc debugging turned on, we see this:
# mount; ls -Rn; wait some seconds; Ctrl-C
[root@lnxp-1038:/backend1]$ cat /proc/slab_allocators | egrep

[PATCH 1/1] Clear joining_node no matter whether it is in the domain map or not.
Currently the process of dlm join contains 2 steps: query join and assert join.
After query join, the joined node will set its joining_node. So if the joining
node happens to panic before the 2nd step, the joined node will fail to clear
its joining_node flag because that node isn't in the domain map. It at least
cause 2 problems.
1. All the new join request will fail. So no new node can mount

[PATCH] ocfs2: Always try for maximum bits with new local alloc windows
What we were doing before was to ask for the current window size as the
maximum allocation. This had the effect of limiting the amount of allocation
we could get for the local alloc during times when the window size was
shrunk due to fragmentation. In some cases, that could actually *increase*
fragmentation by artificially limiting the number of bits we can accept. So
while we still want to ask

[PATCH] ocfs2: Provide the ocfs2_dlm_lvb_valid() stack API.
The Lock Value Block (LVB) of a DLM lock can be lost when nodes die and
the DLM cannot reconstruct its state. Clients of the DLM need to know
this.
ocfs2's internal DLM, o2dlm, explicitly zeroes out the LVB when it loses
track of the state. This is not a standard behavior, but ocfs2 has
always relied on it. Thus, an o2dlm LVB is always "valid".
ocfs2 now supports both o2dlm and

[git patches] Ocfs2 and Configfs updates for 2.6.27
I'm running a bit late with the e-mail this time around, but I think that's
ok since there really isn't any major new features here - the bulk of the
Ocfs2 update is bug fixes, or cleanups. The same goes for configfs.
The only two things that could be described as features would be:
- Sunil has updated Ocfs2 to provide even more live cluster locking
information via debugfs.
- Joel

[PATCH] ocfs2: return f_fsid info in ocfs2_statfs(), v4
Currently f_fsid of struct kstatfs returned from ocfs2_statfs() is undefined (vfs layer fills 0 as
default). Since in some conditions, f_fsid value might be used as (f_fsid, ino) pair to
uniquely identify a file, ocfs2 should return a unique defined f_fsid value from ocfs2_statfs().
Because uuid_str is identified no mater on big or litlle endian machine, it's also endian consistent
