how to graph iozone output using OpenOffice?
Hi all,
Can anyone please steer me in the right direction with this one? I've
searched the net, but couldn't find a clear answer.
How do I actually generate graphs from iozone, using OpenOffice? Every
website I've been to simply mentions that iozone can output an xls
file which can be used in MS Excel to generate a 3D graph. But, I
can't see how it's actually done. Can anyone

Hello.
What we have:
2x Debian 5.0 x64 - 2.6.32-20~bpo50+1 from backports

I have both node reboot every day on my tests. On heavy load it have to
1-3 hour to reboot, on idle about 20 hours.
I not sure what it is a OCFS2 related but if I not mount OCFS2 partition
- I don`t get this reboot.
In attach screenshoot with system console on what error.
Nothing special in logs.

IOZone: Number of outstanding requests..
Hello:
Sorry for asking iozone ques in this mailing list but couldn't find
any mailing list on iozone...
In IOZone, is there a way to configure # of outstanding requests
client sends to server side? Something on the lines of IOMeter option
"Number of outstanding requests".
Thanks a lot!

Magic parameter "-ec" of IOZone to increase the write performance of samba
Hi,
I am measuring the performance of my newly bought NAS with IOZone.
The NAS is of an embedded linux with samba installed. (CPU is Intel Atom)
The IOZone reported that write performance to be over 1GBps while the file
size less or equals to 1GB.
Since the nic is 1Gbps, the maximum speed is supposed to be 125MiBps at
most.
The testing report of IOZone is amazing.
Later I found that If the

[Patch] We resolve the throughput drop problemwhe nr eading filesin OCFS2 volume in the patch "ocfs2-truncate-pages-1.patch"a gainstsvn 1226.
We are also thinking about locking for each read/write, but would its =
overhead be too high?
We have another idea that is extending the function of flock, lockf, =
fcntl to distributed.
So any application that need strict data consistent can do a lock =
operation on the whole or part of the file.
For ordinary application, maybe the current logic is enough.
How about it?

iozone results
I'm testing iozone inside a VM booted from a gluster volume.
By looking at network traffic on the host (the one connected to the
gluster storage) I can
see that a simple
iozone -w -c -e -i 0 -+n -C -r 64k -s 1g -t 1 -F /tmp/gluster.ioz
will make about 1200mbit/s on a bonded dual gigabit nic (probably,
with a bad bonding mode configured)
fio returns about 50000kB/s, that are 400000 kbps.

[Fwd: [Fwd: The results of iozone stress on NFS/ZFS and SF X4500 shows the very bad performance in read but good in write]]
Dear ALL,
IHAC who would like to use Sun Fire X4500 to be the NFS server for the
backend services, and would like to see the potential performance gain
comparing to their existing systems. However the outputs of the I/O
stress test with iozone show the mixed results as follows:
* The read performance sharply degrades (almost down to 1/20, i.e
from 2,000,000 down to 100,000) when the

I am looking at some lower cost phone to use with Asterisk. What is the
ArtDio IPF-2000 or the Sipura SPA-841 like? Also, I see voipsupply.com has
an ArtDio IPF-1000 listed, is this a new or an old model? I cannot find
any information on it.

Default login information for a ArtDio IPF-2600
Hello,
I recently purchased a ArtDio IPF-2600 phone from voipsupply.com, but they
did not include a manual.
Does anyone know the default login information? I have tried all of the
common ones that I can think of. If anyone knows, it would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!

ipf question
Hello.
I am a relatively new FreeBSD user. I have samba, ssh and vnc server running
on it. I am also trying to set up the IPFILTER on it. I used the handbook to
familiarize myself with the software and the sample script provided in the
chapter discussing ipf, I decided to use as a starting point. After reading
the ipf chapter I assumed that if "block in log first quick on xl0 all" is

RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] [IPF] Xen3.0.3 RC3 can not create VTI_domain
This issue only happened on creating VTI domain in IPF platform.
Creating IA32 or IA32E VMX domain is okay.

dhclient and pf/ipf/ipfw
Hi all.
I recently turned net.inet.udp.log_in_vain on on some of my boxen and
have been seeing UDP connection attempts to port 67 on the local host.
This initially seemed odd, as the target ip addres was indeed that of a
DHCP-configured interface and the source address was that of my DHCP
server. However, it turns out this is totally valid, as dhclient(8) does
not bind(2) on the bootpc port but
