Hi all,
This is Takahiro from Japan.
I want to confirm whether dump command can be used (supported)

I mean, I want to know we can specify in 5th place except for '0'
in /etc/fstab.
[/etc/fstab]
/dev/sdb1 /data ocfs _netdev 0 0

Any information is helpful for me.

Regarding the relase of OCFS R1.0.15
Hi All,
Can I have the release plan of OCFS R1.0.15?
Our big Customer, *** BANK, has hit BUG:4590449 (fixed in
R1.0.15) and we need to show our ETA of R1.0.15 now.
# Customer's system is running on RH 2.1 x86.
Since OCFS R2.0 has already been released, I'm afraid that
R1.0.15 will be released or not. (R1.0.14 is terminal release?)
Any information will be helpful for us.

Compiling Zaptel on EM64T machine
Hi Guys
Im trying to complile Asterisk on my new dual Xeon 3.0ghz EM64T machine.
Im running Debian 3.1, and have installed the 2.6.8-11-em64t-p4-smp kernel (and headers). The system is working fine and is detecting both CPU's (4 actually, with hyperthreading).
But when I try to compile Zaptel, Im getting this error:
/lib/modules/2.6.8-11-em64t-p4-smp? /build
make -C

Asterisk on EM64T
I'm looking to install Asterisk on an EM64T Dell 1850. PERC raid 1,
1GB ram, single 3Ghz Xeon.
Any red flags or anything I should know? Should I bother installing
a 64 bit OS? (gentoo-amd64)? Does asterisk work in 64 bit mode?
Should I turn hyper threading off? Etc?

PXE-on-a-disk Intel EM64T reboot
Hello! I have been successful using SYSLINUX and Etherboot to create a
generic "PXE-on-a-disk" package, a floppy image and CD image that
support as many Ethernet cards as possible.
These have support for all of Etherboot's modules that support real PCI
cards: about 25-or-so drivers and 250-or-so cards. I've built Etherboot
ZLILO images, one for each driver, set up to boot

EM64T and network performance
Hello,
Will switchning to 64bit distribution (intel EM64T) provide any
performance gain to the networking code: routing (lots of rules and big
routing tables), scheduling (htb) and iptables?
Thank you.

64-bit R on Intel Xeon EM64T running fine
Dear mailing-list members,
In the days of cheap RAM and microarray applications feasting on memory,
64-bit computers become more and more useful - to actually make use of memory
beyond the magic 4GB border. I would like to report the success of running
64-bit R on an Intel Xeon EM64T machine under Linux. Just like on an AMD
Opteron, R v2.0.0 compiles fine (and out of the box) and is happily

REGARDING TO DOWNGRAING OCFS FROM 1.0.14-1 TO 1.0.9-12
Hi, all.
My name is Kenichiro Ochi, in Oracle Japan Support.
Customer examines upgrading OCFS from 1.0.9-12 to 1.0.14-1.
And customer asked us a question about the way of downgrading to 1.0.9-12.
(customer presumes a case in case after the upgrade.)
We tested the following...
0.After the upgrade
1.umount OCFS volume on all nodes
2.uninstall rpm (V1.0.14-1)
  # rpm -e ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1
  # rpm

call for testers CentOS 3 x86_64 EM64T (aka ia32e)
Hi,
A new version (2.0.8-2.centos) for yum has been pushed to the mirrors for
testing before going into the main tree. This release only includes a small fix
for EM64T machines running the x86_64 version of CentOS 3: the ia32e
architecture is now recognized for yum as an compatible architecture name.
The only CentOS ia32e.rpm are the kernel and kernel-unsupported rpms.
No one has reported the

--enable-BLAS-shlib conflict with --with-lapack in configure?
Dear developeRs,
I'm trying to build R (2.7.1, on an x86_64 running Linux, but I believe
I have observed this on x86 and with earlier versions of R as well)
using external BLAS and LAPACK libraries _and_ generating libR.so,
libRblas.so and libRlapack.so.
Without --enable-BLAS-shlib, configure is able to find and use the
external LAPACK library:

HP DL360 G4 EM64T and hyperthreading options
Hi all,
Just a couple of quick questions. I have a HP DL360 G4 (dual
3.0Ghzprocessors). The processors are EM64T. I am using a TE411P in
the system.
1. Should I run the a x86_64 Linux (CentOS) or just go with the plain old 32
bit version?
2. This being a dual processor system, should I turn on or off hyper
thrreading?
Thanks.....

oom killer: gfp=mask=0xd1 - bug w/ EM64T?
Hi -
Running into the error below when copying over large files via ssh. This
occurs even when I have vm.overcommit_memory=2 set in /etc/sysctl.conf. The
research I've done indicates that this is a bio-uses-GFP_DMA bug with EM64T.
I'm running CentOS 4.4 with the 2.6.9-42.0.3.ELsmp x86_64 kernel on the
following hardware:
2 x Intel Xeon CPU 5148 @ 2.33GHz
Supermicro X7DB8 motherboard
