Greetings, I read from archive that OCFS is for kernel 2.6. which means RHAS4.0 is supported. However, I can't find the download for this version. Is the support official and where can I download it. Oh yeah - easy way to check, Randy: Next time your node hangs, get on the OTHER NODE and go into each directory where files are being opened (datafiles, archivelogs, controlefiles, redo logs, etc) and delete a file (you can create one first then delete it). Hi, are there plans to make OCSFv1 available for linux kernel 2.6.x ? We would like to upgrade a RAC on SUSE SLES8 to SUSE SLES9. SLES9SP2 will support OCFSv2, but if I understand correctly OCFSv1 and OCFSv2 are not compatible and we have to copy all the DB files from one filesystem to the other. Kernel is 2.4.9-e.27enterprise and ocfs is 1.0.9-11. I have checked and the shared storage can be accessed directly without any problems from both nodes (/dev/sdx). Running database in ASYNC mode in RHEL 3 has a potential risk of redo logs failure due to some short io's.
