FW: Observations
Hi Sunil, I'm looking into this thread now. Does this mean we cannot use FTP option to copy OCFS files to ext3? If so, is there any ftp version available for OCFS, similar to cp --o_direct? Also, is there any version of sync available for OCFS (in normal FS, sync does a refresh of FS from kernel cache so that the FS is consistent). By this can we say that the FS shard by both nodes is

I have managed to add Microsoft Windows 2000 clients to the domain but would like to have some guidance on how to go about adding GNU/Linux clients. I did a bit of searching and could not find a simple how to. A reference URL of sorts would help. Thanks in advance.

reaper spawner
Hi, Anyone know where i can find out more info on Reaper/Spawner. Currently, every time i add a new account on my production machine, i have to restart the whole server. After about 150 accounts, this puts a real strain on the server (it takes 3 full minutes before i can access any site on the server). I think reaper/spawner is my answer, but i am havving trouble figuring out how to use it.

Question about filesystem ownership
I've created a few OCFS filesystems (RHEL 3, OCFS 1.0.9-12) while attempting to assign ownership by oracle:dba. I've done this both with ocfstool and mkfs.ocfs. They both seem to accept the parameters, but the resulting filesystem is always owned by root:root. This is not a fatal problem, since we can just throw all of our Oracle files into a properly-owned subdirectory in each

Functional tests use ''test.host'' whereas integration tests use ''www.example.com''
I just added my first integration test, and noticed that it uses www.example.com as the domain name. Functional tests, on the other hand, use test.host. I only found this out because I''m actually checking the domain name in requests. Apparently the DSL I create in the integration test should then become available to the rest of the functional tests..but I need the host name to be the

Changed CONTROL= path causes POP3 to fail, whereas IMAP is working (rc25 & rc26)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I'm testing some configurations, in the process I used a wrong user setting causing POP3 (get new messages) to fail, whereas IMAP was still working. An easy fix was to remove the entire /var/cache/dovecot/1012/ directory, both index and index/control were re-created and do work. So my guess is that the existance of the indexes causes

Why Aastra uses 48V whereas other IP Phones use much less, i.e. 5-12V
Hi, Why Aastra phones use more electricity, i.e. 48VDC whereas other phones use much less, e.g. Grandstream and Linksys both use only 5VDC. I first thought it was because of PoE, but the ones with 5VDC also run fine on PoE. What is the difference in power consumption then? -- Zeeshan A Zakaria -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[PATCH] ocfs2: return f_fsid info in ocfs2_statfs(), v4
Currently f_fsid of struct kstatfs returned from ocfs2_statfs() is undefined (vfs layer fills 0 as default). Since in some conditions, f_fsid value might be used as (f_fsid, ino) pair to uniquely identify a file, ocfs2 should return a unique defined f_fsid value from ocfs2_statfs(). Because uuid_str is identified no mater on big or litlle endian machine, it's also endian consistent to use
