ENC: ENC: Unresolved Symbols on Uniprocessor Kernel
As I said before, I'm not a linux expert. In which file of kernel source can I look for any missing code ? And specially what do I have to check ? __________________________________________ Mauro Staretz - MI Montreal Inform?tica Ltda Microsoft MCSE+I / MCDBA / MCP - Oracle OCP Tel: 55-21-2291-6116 R.2104 Fax: 55-21-2533-6028 __________________________________________ -----Mensagem

ENC: ENC: Unresolved Symbols on Uniprocessor Ker nel
Hi, Is this "Unresolved Symbols" issue only occurring on VMware with e.38? We have OCFS users want to update their kernel to e.34 or e.38 without VMware. Please advise, Thanks! I followed your instruction to compile OCFS and received the following errors: [root@RAC1 ocfs-1.0.11]# ./configure --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux-2.4.9-e.38/linux checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are

Well, I've downloaded the kernel source code from http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/redhat/linux/updates/enterprise/2.1AS/en/os /SRPMS/kernel-2.4.18-e.40.src.rpm and compiled it for x86 (i686). Is this kernel compatible with ocfs ?? __________________________________________ Mauro Staretz - MI Montreal Inform?tica Ltda Microsoft MCSE+I / MCDBA / MCP - Oracle OCP Tel: 55-21-2291-6116 R.2104

RES: RES: RES: ocfs installation error on RHAS 2.1
Well, I've compiled and installed Kernel 2.4.9-37 uniprocessor. I've made ocfs setup using version 1.0.9-9 uniprocessor. I've generated ocfs.conf using ocfstool. When I start ocfs using /etc/init.d/ocfs start, I receive the following errors: [root@RAC1 root]# /etc/init.d/ocfs start Loading OCFS: /sbin/insmod ocfs node_name=RAC1.localdomain ip_address=192.168.61 2 ip_port=7000

x86 uniprocessor 4GB memory (fwd)
If you have an AGP video card which you aren't actually using you can try selecting the minimum possible AGP apperture (window whatever) size (possibly even disable it?). This might help. Also removing the AGP card and using a junk 1-8MB svga card will also possibly work. In my experience the linear framebuffer of video cards is by far the greatest memory hog these days. Cheers, MaZe.

Uniprocessor kernel booted after YUM update
We have Xeon IA32 dual-processor servers running Centos 3.5 in an HPC batch-only compute grid configuration . We have yum update operating automatically with default updates being applied weekly. Because of the workload pattern of long-runing jobs, the servers tend to stay up without a reboot for very long periods. Recently, yum installed an updated kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp; when we got

Using Samba AD/DC as an Active Directory OAuth provider for OpenShift
Hi everyone, I have a working Samba AD/DC (4.12.6 on RHEL7.8) setup I'm trying to use with OpenShift (a container platform to which RedHat contributes - aka OCP). I'm also not too skilled on LDAP even though I've been running the above for over two years now.. There are typically two steps involved in connecting AD to OCP: 1) declare an OAuth configuration in OCP (requires a bind

x86 uniprocessor 4GB memory
Hi there, I'm currently using CentOS 4.3 (Server edition) in a HP DC 5100 with the IntelR 915GV chipset, powered by a PIV 3.0GHZ. Now I'm facing a problem, with memory. I got myself 4GB of memory, the system bios detects it correctly, but in Linux can only see around 3.5gb memory. With the default kernel-smp (I use hyperthread) or with kernel-hugemem , I have the same results.

WINBIND
hello, I have a Linux Client (debian sarge) which shares a folder via Samba (3.0.14a). A remote client who wants to mount that share needs to authenticate himself. Like in: mount -t smbfs -o username=user1,password=secret My Samba now have to check the auth against a Active directory. Now my question: Do I need winbind on my client? Because, winbind only maps sid to uid and uid to sid. In case

OCFS install trouble w/ new kernel - unresolved symbols
I successfully have OCFS running in a two-node RAC environment using RHAS 3 (2.4.21-4.EL) using Qlogic 2310 cards. IO performance, however, was terrible with the combination of OCFS and the Qlogic cards. After extensive testing, OCFS did fine on its own, as did the fibre cards. Put the two together, and everything literally ran twice as slow. Support at Qlogic pointed me to

Do you have anything detailing what the goal of each phase in Xenrt is? Phases 4 and 5 seem to be pretty much identical. Thanks, Paul Larson _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
