ENC: ENC: Unresolved Symbols on Uniprocessor Kernel
As I said before, I'm not a linux expert. In which file of kernel source can I look for any missing code ? And specially what do I have to check ? __________________________________________ Mauro Staretz - MI Montreal Inform?tica Ltda Microsoft MCSE+I / MCDBA / MCP - Oracle OCP Tel: 55-21-2291-6116 R.2104 Fax: 55-21-2533-6028 __________________________________________ -----Mensagem

Unresolved Symbols on Uniprocessor Kernel
I'm trying to install ocfs using RHAS 2.1 uniprocessor kernel on a vmware gsx server 3.0 virtual machine and I'm getting the unresolved symbols error when I try to start ocfs. I'm using the following packages: ocfs-tools-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm ocfs-support-1.0.10-1.i386.rpm ocfs-2.4.9-e-1.0.11-1.i686.rpm My kernel is 2.4.9-e.38 uniprocessor (compiled by me). Hi, Is this "Unresolved Symbols" issue only occurring on VMware with e.38? We have OCFS users want to update their kernel to e.34 or e.38 without VMware. Please advise, Thanks! I followed your instruction to compile OCFS and received the following errors: [root@RAC1 ocfs-1.0.11]# ./configure --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux-2.4.9-e.38/linux checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are

Well, I've compiled and installed Kernel 2.4.9-37 uniprocessor. I've made ocfs setup using version 1.0.9-9 uniprocessor. I've generated ocfs.conf using ocfstool. When I start ocfs using /etc/init.d/ocfs start, I receive the following errors: [root@RAC1 root]# /etc/init.d/ocfs start Loading OCFS: /sbin/insmod ocfs node_name=RAC1.localdomain ip_address=192.168.61 2 ip_port=7000

RES: ocfs compilation error
Gtk+devel was not installed. So I installed this package and its dependencies. But I'm still receiving the same error msg. gtk-config is in /usr/bin/gtk-config. I set GTK_CONFIG env variable to gtk-config full path but nothing changed. It seems that the compilation is looking for gtk version 1.2.8 but mine is 1.2.10-11. Availability of OCFS 1.0.14 for RHAS 2.1 Itanium64
Do you have a timeline when the OCFS 1.0.14-1 will be available on RHAS 2.1 Itanium 64 platform? Or is there going to be one? We notice that OCFS 1.0.14-1 has been available for RHAS 2.1 32 bit for quite a while. Thanks. Compile on RHAS/RHEL3?
List, both on RHAS3 update3, update 4, Samba source code 3.0.9 thru 11 gives SIGSEGVs on make check. Installing the buggers and trying to run them gives the same. *THOUGH*. The Red Hat beta 3.0.9 srpm at fr2.rpmfind.net comples and runs "like a little sun" ("net als een zonnetje", in Dutch). Anyone compiled Samba 3.0.11 on Red Hat RHAS3/RHEL3? Not "how", just

Migrate from RHAS 4 to CentOS 4.2
I have a SGI Altix 350 (ia64) that came with RHAS 4, but without any paid support. I would like to migrate the server over to CentOS. Here is what I've pieced together from some older posts by Johnny, can someone confirm this should work? I know this is somewhat covered in the FAQ, although both entries refer to FC or WBEL, which already have built-in yum support. Install the

WINBIND
hello, I have a Linux Client (debian sarge) which shares a folder via Samba (3.0.14a). A remote client who wants to mount that share needs to authenticate himself. Like in: mount -t smbfs -o username=user1,password=secret My Samba now have to check the auth against a Active directory. Now my question: Do I need winbind on my client? Because, winbind only maps sid to uid and uid to sid. In case

Trevor, I'm in a fairly similar situation, but maybe a week or two ahead of you. I'll post this so that maybe you can pick something up, but also so that the gurus of this list can maybe glean some info on how perceptions of the OOB (Out-of-Box) experience are as well..:) My background: - Fairly skilled on IBM's AIX (their unix flavor) from a command-line perspective.
