Javascript compression / How to hook in to rails development
Hi there,
I thought it''s rather neat to use the javascript compression from
http://dojotoolkit.org/docs/compressor_system.html
This removes javascript comments and renames variables and seems pretty
reliable and effective.
For example, I keep the original htmlarea.js file from
http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/
in a file htmlarea.js.txt and it compresses from 200K to 100K. With
gzip it

Output Compression in Mongrel?
I''d like to implement output compression in Mongrel (ala Apache''s
mod_deflate). I have found a Rails plugin that, with minor modification,
works.
Is there even an advantage to moving the output compression from the Rails
app to a Mongrel handler?
Unless, of course, someone knows how to configure mod_proxy_balancer with
mod_deflate...

LiteSpeed Web Server 2.2 with Ruby Rails integration....
Fellow Rail users and developers,
Right now the easiest way to run Rails is in combination with Mongrel.
However, it may not be a good idea to expose Mongrel directly to the
outside world in a high-load production environment. In-addition,
Mongrel_cluster + proxy + load balancer have to be used even for a
single server deployment making the unified setup more complicated than
needs be.

Mongrel/Apache mod_deflate question
Hi Folks,
We''re moving from a single lighttpd-hosted Rails box to a Apache/
mongrel cluster.
In lighttpd, mod_compress had a very nice feature:
if there''s a static file, it would compress it in a user-specified
compress folder. If the file hasn''t changed, it would just serve out
the compress file; if the file has changed, it would recompress it
and serve it out.

Eliminar filas que cumplen con mas de un criterios simultaneamente ...
Hola de nuevo. Leí mal. Si vas a eliminar esas filas, entonces usa:
sqldf("select * from graph where sol!='lim' and dia!=2")
En el correo anterior seleccioné precisamente a esas descartando a las
demás.
Culpa de mis anteojos... jeje.

Mongrel/Apache and static content
I''m looking for an easy way to have mongrel only serve dynamic railscontent, while letting Apache serve non-Rails content. Unfortunately,it seems that you have to segregate the static content in its ownfolder. That was also the case with the SCGI runner. I used thetrick outlined athttp://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.ruby.rails/23347 to managethis. I was curious if a similar

GzipFilter gemplugin now available
This GemPlugin will gzip your HTTP responses from mongrel if the
client says that it supports it (eg, most modern browsers). I''ve
tested it in IE6, Firefox 1.5 and Firefox 2.0RC3
Install:
 gem install gzip_filter --source http://edenli.com
Configure (assuming rails):
 cd RAILS_ROOT
 echo ''uri "/", :handler => plugin("/handlers/gzipfilter")''

sqldf("
select *
from DF
where mes in
(
    select a.mes from
    (
        select mes, count(*) as total_NA
        from
        (select *
        from DF
        where resultado=' NA ')
        group by

About an integral univariate problem
Hello all R users
I want to calculate this univariate integral:
exp(-x)*sum(y^x) respect to x from 0 to 3 where y is a vector y=(2,3,5).
In fact, the original y vector has a large number of elements but I propose
with 3 elements.
I know that I can resolve this problem doing
fun <- function(x) exp(-x)*(2^x+3^x+5^x)
integrate(fun,0,3)
When the y vector has a large number of elements the

obtener matriz de contactos
Hola Freddy.
Gracias,
Sebastían.
