has anyone experienced problems with ocfs2 1.2.5-1 using Emulex LP10000 HBA cards and EMC CX700 SAN's?
Does anyone have any experience with Emulex HBA cards (LP10000) using OCFS2, Linux AS4 U4 x86_64 AMD? I'm trying to find out whether this is a verified combination, if anyone has successfully used it. I have that hardware/sofware combination, and am experiencing stability/performance/panic/hang issues with OCFS2. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Kernel panic with OCFS2 1.2.6 for EL5 (answer to multipath question)
Hello This is a bit off-topic, but here goes: Try installing the "device-mapper-multipath" package and follow the documentation below - residing at the powerlink.emc.com site: "Native Multipath Failover Based on DM-MPIO for v2.6.x Linux Kernel and EMC(r) Storage Arrays" When configured this works just as good as PowerPath. This works great on RHEL / CentOS 5 Daniel On

OCFS2 1.2.9-1 RHEL5
Hi, I still need to use 1.2.9-1 of OCFS2 as I have an older RHEL4 server that needs to share the filesystem. I noticed that there have been no updates and kernel 2.6.18-164.10.1 is out for RHEL5. Are you going to release updates or have you now finished with 1.2.9-1 for RHEL5? Many thanks Matt ________________________________ JPC InfoNet Limited Registered in England No.: 2983145 Registered

fsck.ocfs2 using huge amount of memory?
We are setting up 2 new EL5 U4 machines to replace our current database servers running our demo environment. We use 3Par SANs and their snap clone options. The current production system we snap clone from is EL4 U5 with ocfs2 1.2.9, the new servers have ocfs2 1.4.3 installed. Part of the refresh process is to run fsck.ocfs2 on the volume to recover, but right now as I am trying to run it on our

U4 beta rpms for CentOS
I have built a set of preview U4 beta rpms for CentOS i386 - these will become the basis of CentOS 3.4 when Rhel 3 U4 is released. I will not be pushing these out to the mirrors, but they are available at http://beta.caosity.org/centos/3.3/U4beta The beta packages are not signed. To add then to yum.conf add :- [u4beta] name=CentOS-$releasever - U4beta

ocfs2 ACL support
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 It looks like ACL support has been written for ocfs2: http://lkml.org/lkml/2009/1/5/297, and possibly merged upstream. However, I'm stuck on RHEL5 (and the RHEL-provided kernel). Has this been backported? If so, where could I find it? If not, does anyone have a guess as to how difficult it would be? Thanks in advance. smithj -----BEGIN PGP

Question regarding old memory leak
Hi all, I just started with OCFS2 and set up a 2-node cluster where one node is writing and both read from the clustered volume. Currently I'm moving data to the volume via tar and since I started this more and more memory is used until nothing is left and the box reboots. This takes about two to three days. I use the OCFS2 version provided with Debian Etch and I'm not sure if the

support xattr, quota on RHEL5 of OCFS2 1.4
Hi I'd like to know if OCFS2 1.4 on RHEL5 with the REDHAT latest kernel supports disk quotas, the xattr and acl. I could have done something wrong but only the acl seem to work. Apparently instead on FC12, where support is enabled in the kernel itself OCFS grep / boot / config * CONFIG_OCFS2_FS = m CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_O2CB = m CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_USERSPACE_CLUSTER = m # CONFIG_OCFS2_FS_STATS is
