using ipoib with xcp
Hello,
I have been playing with the XCP for a while now, and must say I''m very
exited about the technology. I had no prior experience with Xen so it has
taken me a while to understand the concepts, but now I feel most important
issues are solved and I''ve purchased some hardware to build my (tiny) cloud
on.
The box is a Supermicro 1026TT-IBXF, so I have 2 x Ethernet and 1 x

Gluster client mount fails in mid flight with signum 15
This has been solved, as far as we can tell.
Problem was with KillUserProcesses=1 in logind.conf. This has shown to kill mounts made using mount -a booth by root and by any user with sudo at session logout.
Hope this will anybody else who run into this.
Thanks 4 all your help and
cheers

Is it possible to use Samba as a proxy and cache for a slow CIFS drive ?
Hi all,
we have special scenario with a slow file share where Samba (maybe combined with other tools) could help by acting like as a CIFS proxy and caching system:
We're testing an Alfresco ECM System which has a CIFS subsystem (based on jLAN) that is simply to slow for our needs. In this setup the appserver Alfresco (SUSE on vmwars ESXi) and the clients are on a local LAN with Gb Ethernet

Running network services as a non-root user
Hi,
I am using open source Alfresco( alfresco.com ), written in java, which has
own code for FTP, CIFS (running on tomcat apache and java). I need to run
tomcat5 as root in order to achieve that alfresco will bind ftp cifs on
privileged ports (21 , 135 .).
I am wondering, it is possible to allow user to bind on some privilleged
port. Like having whole alfresco running under user alfresco and

Gluster client mount fails in mid flight with signum 15
All four clients did run 3.10.2 as well
The volumes has been running fine until we upgraded to 3.10, when we hit some issues with port mismatches. We restarted all the volumes, the servers and the clients and now hit this issue.
We?ve since backed up the files, remove the volumes, removed the bricks, removed gluster, installed glusterfs 3.7.20, created new volumes on new bricks, restored the

BIND Problem on CentOS 6.3
Hi,
I've set up a Samba4 PDC on a CentOS 6.3 and so far it's up and running,
following the howto on the wiki.
This means I've joined the AD domain with a dedicated Win 7 virtual machine,
I've installed the RSAT tools on that machine and I can administrate the AD
domain.
I've set up this PDC in an existing small network with an AVM FRITZ.BOX adsl
router, which is already

Has anyone here setup alfresco on centos 5?
I would like to speak to them off list about it if so.
I am aware that they (alfresco) have a contributed wiki article
about doing this, but i have run into some issues.

XCP & InfiniBand
I am running XCP 0.5. I have an InfiniBand network in place that I would
like to use to connect to my NFS server for VM image storage. Has anybody
tried getting IB to work with XCP? Is there a document that outlines the
steps for getting IB to work with XCP?
Also, I don''t need to expose the IB network to any of the domU. I only want
to use the IB network to connecting to NFS based

OT: Content system preferences, KnowledgeTree vs Alfresco
We're in the market for a new content system at work. Right now it's
between KnowledgeTree and alfresco. Mostly we're looking for something
with the ability to upload, tag with various meta-data, and share
among various other systems via webdav, cifs, etc.
Does anyone have any personal preferences or experiences with these
two products?

recommendations/suggestions - geographically spread network based on Centos
Good day all,
I was wondering if I could pick some admin heads here as I have a HUGE
project I have been tasked with.....
I am asking here since I will be basing everything on Centos, and want
it to all play nice together. If anyone feels this is straying off
topic, please just reply off list. I do not want to be the cause of
one of those threads.
I have 3 offices, 1 in Canada, 2 in
