Sporadic Bus error on mmap() on FUSE mount
Hi, I need to use rrdtool on top of a Gluster FUSE mount, rrdtool uses memory-mapped file IO extensively (I know I can recompile rrdtool with mmap() disabled, but that is just a workaround). I have three FUSE mount points on three different servers, on one of them the command "rrdtool create test.rrd --start 920804400 DS:speed:COUNTER:600:U:U RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:24" works fine, on

for all three nodes: Brick1: gluster-0-0:/mseas-data-0-0 Brick2: gluster-0-1:/mseas-data-0-1 Brick3: gluster-data:/data Which node are you trying to mount to /data? If it is not the gluster-data node, then it will fail if there is not a /data directory. In this case, it is a good thing, since mounting to /data on gluster-0-0 or gluster-0-1 would not accomplish what you need. To clarify, there

Problems with striped-replicated volumes on 3.3.1
Good afternoon, I am playing around with GlusterFS 3.1 in CentOS 6 virtual machines to see if I can get of proof of concept for a bigger project. In my setup, I have 4 GlusterFS servers with two bricks each of 10GB with XFS (per your quick-start guide). So, I have a total of 8 bricks. When bu I have no problem with distributed-replicated volumes. However, when I set up a striped replicated

Gluster on ZFS: cannot open empty files
Hi everyone, I've got glusterfs-server/glusterfs-client version 3.4.0final-ubuntu1~precise1 (from the semiosis PPA) running on Ubuntu 13.04. I'm trying to share ZFS (ZFS on Linux 0.6.2-1~precise from the zfs-stable PPA) using GlusterFS. When creating the ZFS filesystem and the Gluster volume, I accepted all the defaults and then: - I enabled deduplication for the ZFS filesystem (zfs set

GlusterFS 3.4 Fuse client Performace
Dear GlusterFS Engineer, I have questions that my glusterfs server and fuse client perform properly on below specification. It can write only *65MB*/s through FUSE client to 1 glusterfs server (1 brick and no replica for 1 volume ) - NW bandwidth are enough for now. I've check it with iftop - However it can write *120MB*/s when I mount nfs on the same volume. Could anyone check if the

How to sync content to a file through standard Java APIs
Hello, we have a Gluster FS mounted at some /mnt/... path on a Server. The actual physical device behind this resides on some other Server. Now, the requirement is to write files to this Gluster FS Volume in a durable fashion, i.e. for an officially succeeded write the contents MUST have been actually synced to disk on at least one of the Gluster FS nodes in the replica set. Our questions: 1.

Performance optimization of glusterfs with samba-glusterfs-vfs plugin
Hi guys, I have spent many days on debuging read/write performance of glusterfs with samba-gluster-vfs plugin recently. The write performance is okay, but the read speed is always dispirited. The testing environment is like this: OS: centos 6.4 hosts: two hosts, one for samba server which glusterfs with samba-glusterfs-vfs runs on it, the other for samba client glusterfs version:

The servers look like they start okay, here are the last 10 or so lines of a client log (they are all identical): 2008-10-07 07:18:40 D [spec.y:196:section_sub] parser: child:stripe0->remote1 2008-10-07 07:18:40 D

I am running the Ubuntu 12.04 version of glusterfs-client/server (3.2.5-1ubuntu1) and fuse (2.8.6-2ubuntu2). Any ideas? Thanks, Jacob -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was
