domU on v3.2 is not booting
hi all,
I installed v3.2 from source and now dom0 is booting well. But when I
tried to start domU it shows the following error message and seems
hanging.
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
EXT3-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended

[LLVMdev] Last Known Good Builds?
Hi,
I have several times over the past three months tried to retrieve the trunk
version of LLVM/Clang/Compiler-RT from Subversion and then tried to build
it on Windows: Without success. Also, I occasionally get emails from
people who ask me why LLVM/Windows does not build (they find my name in the
mailing list archive).
This has made me ponder the issue and I came up with the following scheme

Samba Time Synchronisation wikipage
I have update the Time Synchronisation Wikipage:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Time_Synchronisation
It now includes information for the 'chrony' time server.
If you spot any errors or omissions, or if you think that something
could be said better, please report back ;-)
Could I also thank Louis Van Belle for proofreading the page.

[LLVMdev] Last Known Good Builds?
| Do you have any information about how people are setting up their
| projects? I ask because there are different ways to set up a project
| to depend on LLVM.
No, I don't have that kind of information. All I know is that it is quite
difficult to find a working version on the trunk. I think this especially
hit those that are new to LLVM and yet want to play around with the
bleeding edge

Problem wit glusterfs-server 3.4
Hi at all!
i'm trying to use glusterfs for the first time and have the following problem:
I want to have two nodes.
On node1 I have a raid1-sytem running in /raid/storage
Both nodes see the other and now I try to create a volume.
While I create the first volume on a fresh system (node1) for the first time, gluster said:
volume create: glustervolume: failed: /raid/storage/ or a prefix of it

Geo Replication Hooks
Hi,
I have created a proposal for the implementation of Geo Replication Hooks.
See here:
http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/Features/Geo_Replication_Hooks
Any comments, thoughts, etc would be great.

Geo-replication: queue delete commands and process after a specified time
Hello list,
I'm toying with the idea of using Gluster as a user facing network share,
and geo-replicating the data for backup purposes.
At a bare minimum I'd like geo-replicate to not sync file deletions
immediately to the slave, but instead queue those deletions for a
configurable period of time (say 7 days).
As an added bonus, moving a file would actually leave a copy behind with a

Testers needed for VoIP router solution
Hi all,
We have put together a firmware for a range of inexpensive routers.
It has been configured to provide optimum VoIP performance.
We have internally tested it for number of months and it looks very good.
You should be able to run it easily with 20+ phones on local network ( we
still did not hit the upper limit ) assuming that you have bandwidth.
Your VoIP will get prioritized over other

[LLVMdev] Instruction Scheduling - migration from v3.1 to v3.2
I am migrating the llvm/clang derived compiler for our processor from the
v3.1 to v3.2 codebase. This has mostly gone well except that instruction
latency scheduling is no longer happening.
The people who implemented this previously sub-classed 'ScheduleDAGInstrs'
and implemented the virtual methods 'computeLatency' and
'computeOperandLatency'. However, these methods

Shutting down a GlusterFS server.
Hi,
I have a 2-node replica volume running with GlusterFS 3.3.2 on Centos 6.4. I want to shut down one of the gluster servers for maintenance. Any best practice that is to be followed while turning off a server in terms of services etc. Or can I just shut down the server. ?
Thanks & Regards,
Bobby Jacob

XEN 4.1.2+Centos 6.2+Kernel 3.X
Hey hope this opne is a "make senser".
Has anyone tried the "Subject line" combo?, I''ve compiled a dozen src.rpm

support with no success, just a kernel oops and constant reboots.
I followed Fedora''s wiki on building a custom kernel, even used F16''s

FileSize changing in GlusterNodes
Hi,
When I upload files into the gluster volume, it replicates all the files to both gluster nodes. But the file size slightly varies by (4-10KB), which changes the md5sum of the file.
Command to check file size : du -k *. I'm using glusterFS 3.3.1 with Centos 6.4
This is creating inconsistency between the files on both the bricks. ? What is the reason for this changed file size and how can

Error when creating volume
Hello,
I've removed a volume and I can't re-create it :
gluster volume create gluster-export gluster-6:/export gluster-5:/export
gluster-4:/export gluster-3:/export
/export or a prefix of it is already part of a volume
I've formatted the partition and reinstalled the 4 gluster servers and
the error still appears.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

Proper way to boot memtest86
Hello list, any try the new memtest86 v3.2 with isolinux 3.11 cd and pxeboot?
How is the proper way to chainload memtest86
I was tried:
label memtest
kernel memtest.bin
but, nothing happens just a weird hang (my older versions of memtest hangs
too). Anyway chainloading in a floppy image with memdisk on CD or pxeboot was
fine but if I use memory to emulate a floppy I was not using this memory
