2.4.1 Voltages are Great for CP1000AVRLCD, but usbfs messages in logs (a lot)
Arjen, all,
Just dropping a note on two points. First, Voltages are perfect in 2.4.1 for
the Cyberpower ups's. Glad to see I'm not pushing 20+ any more:

Second, even though the changes to where the monitor lines go in the configs
and changes from ACCEPT, etc.. to LISTEN are fairly old now, the documentation

textarea fails on rows attribute
Hi,
Camping 1.5.180
Ruby 1.8.6
It looks like Camping is choking on the ''rows'' attribute for input tags:
input(:name => ''cuid'', :type => ''text'', :size => 10, :rows => 3)
That will fail with:
Markaby::InvalidXhtmlError no attribute `rows'' on input elements:

Same Box, Moved install to different drive, now get Connection failure: Connection refused??
Arjen, All,
I need help unwrapping my head from around the problem of getting nut running
on the same machine it runs fine with on another drive!! Sound easy -- not here :)
I have network-ups-tools 2.4.1-2 on two servers. On one server I had a raid
drive fail (which I'm still booting from and running nut on just fine). I bought
a second pair of drives to establish a new array in the

update to cifs-mount-3.2.0-24.1.122 from .121 broke mount.cifs

Last night's upgrade from cifs-mount-3.2.0-24.1.121 to
cifs-mount-3.2.0-24.1.122 on a openSuSE 10.3 x86_64 machine broke mount -t

Hi everyone,
I''m having trouble actually running mysql queries. I can connect to the
database, I think, but when a query gets run the following shows up in my
log:
SQL (0.000000) Mysql::Error: Lost connection to MySQL server during
query: SHOW TABLES
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

yet another rails site - happycarpools.com
I''m pretty much done with a project I''ve been developing to learn Rails,
http://www.happycarpools.com . If you could take a look, that''d be awesome!
Feedback would be even more awesome!
Probably the coolest thing about making this has been seeing how Rails does
*so much* and hardly has any superfluous parts, if any. There are so many
features that I initially

R 1.9.1 Fails to Start on WinXP SP2
I have two computers both of which are running Windows XP SP2. R 1.9.1
runs just fine on one but not the other. Both installations of R came
from the same installation package. When I click on the desktop icon an
hourglass shows up then disappears. Similarly, if I start RGUI the
process shows up in task-manager then abruptly disappears.
Interestingly, I can access R in Excel via the D(COM) Server

tired of using defined? all the time
Hi everyone,
It seems like every time I want to evaluate a possibly undefined variable I
have to use defined? to see that it exists first, so I can''t simply have
-- if params[:range_start] > 3
or something like it. I need to have
-- if defined? params[:range_start] && params[:range_start] > 3
I can''t even have
-- if params[:range_start].nil?

Best Way to Write Helpers Using Markaby?
Hey there Merbers,
I''m a Merb neophyte checking it out with a simple app exploration
after being inspired by Mr. Katz''s presentation @ JQueryCamp and with
the desire to use Markaby if at all possible (I heart camping). I''ve
done a little exploration of how to use Markaby in helper code, but
any guidance would definitely be appreciated (I definitely do not

Camping and ruby2ruby
Hi everybody,
I would like to use ruby2ruby in a caming project, but there seems to
be an incompatibility with camping, ruby2ruby and markaby.
Unfortunately I receive strange Markaby::InvalidXhtmlErrors.
To demonstrate, that only combination of all three components causes
the problem I added the following code. I relies on Markaby and
ruby2ruby only and works fine (a.k.a. as expected).

model methods
Hello everyone,
In my model, I have
def leave_at_formatted
leave_at.strftime("%I:%M %p")
end
I was wondering if there were any way to define to_s for leave_at in order
to get the same result?
Thanks!

markably in instance_var mungling
this bug is similar to something i see already discussed on why''s
blogpost comments, which was reported fixed, but that was before the gem
was made available (which is what im using since i cant seem to access
the C.WTLS SVN)
my guess is one of 3 things: fix didnt propagate to gem, my own failure
to make an educated guess on proper setup (1), or a genuine bug

OT: DMARC / DKIM Failure Reports
Hi guys,
when I send e-mails to CentOS mailing list <centos at centos.org>, I received DMARC / DKIM failure reports. Is it possible to solve this problem and if so how?
This is the first report:
This is an email abuse report for an email message received from IP 208.100.23.70 on Tue, 17 Sep 2019 15:56:25 +0200.

is there a ''Markaby_scaffold'' available?
I discovered Markaby recently, and am loving it! I''m generating scaffolds,
then converting them to Markaby ''.mab'' files. It got me wondering... Has
anyone written a plugin to generate scaffolds in Markaby, yet?? That would
be truly awesome if there was on out there already.

How to install Markaby as a Rails plug-in

I''m still unable to get why''s Markaby installed as a Rails plug-in.
The command below is what I keep seeing everywhere:

It seems like code.whytheluckystiff.net isn''t responding...
Maybe I''m missing something... :)

Markaby template & layout (can't get them to work together)
Hi all,
I am starting a new rails app with the Markaby plugin (had some issues
installing, but think its working).
First, i created an index.mab file for a controller containing:
h1 "First template"
That rendered fine. Also, I do not have a "def index ..." in the
controller.
Then I created an app/layouts/application.mab file. It didn''t get picked

Extending Markaby for SVG
Hi all,
I love the elegance of Markaby for HTML generation. I''d like to do
something similar for SVG, e.g.:
svg11 do
title "Slide Title"
rect({:x=>2,:y=>2,:width=>508,:height=>318,:fill=>"aqua"})
g({:style=>"fill:blue;
stroke:black", :transform=>"translate(17,-38)"}) do
circle({:cx=>70, :cy=>100,
