Debugging a SIP / AudioCodes Problem
I have 2 identical AudioCodes MP-112s. They have the same config except for
the SIP usernames/passwords and the device IP. The configs in extension.conf
and sip.conf are also identical. On one box, when I pick up the phone, I
get a fast busy and the logs/debug show an automatic hangup. On the other
device, I can make calls without a problem. I can even call the phone that

-R port:host:hostport - communication lost after some minutes
Hi
As this '-R' command initially works fine I guess it must be a bug.
I have to login at a computer which is hidden behind NAT. The user
(joe) at the computer then connect to my server with the command:
ssh -R 1234:localhost:22 test.com
Then I login to test.com and connect back to joes computer:
ssh -p 1234 localhost
I get successfull connection every time but after a few

BUG: "update encrypted" and "username level" corrupts smbpasswd file
It took me a little while to figure out what was going on here ...
We're trying to migrate a site from non-encrypted to encrypted
passwords using the "update encrypted" option. Apparently,
this causes problems when "username level" is set greater than
zero (it's set to 15 in our implementation)
We've been having a lot of problems when we turn on

spec a replace_html with a partial
I wanted to use ARTS to add RJS in a behaviour driven way to my
application, but I''m having some trouble asserting a replace_html with
a partial.
I''ve created a pastie (http://pastie.caboo.se/60694) which contains
the RJS I want to spec, the spec which I already wrote and its failure
message.
I''m currently using RSpec-0.9.2

Security - ssh allows unintended access on AIX
Under AIX there are three security settings:
expires = a fixed date at which an account is no longer valid
maxage= weeks before a password expires
maxexpires=max weeks during which a password can be changed by a user after
expiration AFTER WHICH ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED
Beauty of maxage with expires is, that no manual intervention is required
to block inactive users.
With maxage=5 and expires=1 an

Problems connecting with SSH2
Hello,
I've been using OpenSSH 3.6.1p2 for quite some time at work. We have a
firewall, and I had no problems connecting to external machines.
Today my machine was updated to version 4.1p1 and it has a problem.
When I try to make an SSH2 connection to an external machine,
everything seems to work right up to the very end:
debug1: Authentication succeeded (publickey)

[3102] How to rewrite CID name + number?
Hello
I use the Linksys 3102 to connect Asterisk to a POTS line, and XLite
on XP as an SIP client:
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/1421/3102asteriskxlitecid.png
The problem is that by default, Asterisk doesn't rewrite the CID name
+ number in incoming calls, so that XLite displays whatever name I
used in the 3102 and the extension the 3102 uses to register with
Asterisk.
How can I tell

getent and wbinfo not returning expected results?
Hello,
For some time now have been trying to connect a Samba-3.0.14a-0.4
server running on SuSE Ent 9 linux server to our Exchange 2003
(running on Server 2003 Std w/ SP1) server which is also the AD
server for our domain.
I can connect to the shares using the AD as the authentication
source, so the basic functionality is there but some command output
does not show in the way i expect

Secure? Samba over internet
I'd like comments (suggestions, improvements, messages that start with "you
moron you forgot that. . .") on the following horrible dirty kludge to make
a (nearly, with any luck) un-hackable set of shares available to specific
users on the internet.
On the Server, initially all packets bound for port 139 are rejected as the
default policy.
The server is connected to the internet full
