We''re trying to figure out how to have equal cost multipath routing using OSPF (quagga) and have come up with the following...
Has anyone done something similar? -- How do you deal with incoming services (mail/web/etc) in such a scenario as below - And does anyone have any suggestions?
There''s more detail below....

Re: File System corruption tool
We have a script that adds corruption to ext2/3/4 filesystems and runs
e2fsck on it. It definitely could be improved, but it still catches some
occasional errors:

It tries to format the filesystem with different features and options, then
adds corruption from both random data and copying parts of

question about gluster 3.0.4 and gluster-fuse (latest) on 2 centos 5.4 servers
Hello,
I am running 2 servers with CentoS 5.4 32 bit with 1 GB memory and 2
Xeon 3,4 Ghz cpu's.
Both are server and client.
Gluster 3.0.4 source is used and the latest fuse from glusterfs.
I put the Qmail maildir on the gluster mount.
I notices that IMAP connections are really slow and see a lot of gluster
load whenever I receive a mail or send an email.
This is my glusterfsd.vol on both

gluster over infiniband....
Hey guys,
I am running gluster over infiniband, and I have a couple of questions.
We have four servers, each with 1 disk that I am trying to access over infiniband using gluster. The servers look like they start okay, here are the last 10 or so lines of a client log (they are all identical):

File System corruption tool
Hi -
I'm searching for file system corruption tool, say it inject disk-errors
like
multiply owned blocks etc. Later an integrity scan process (like e2fsck)
will
verify on-disk layout and fix these errors.
I'd like to read/understand such tools before writing one for an proprietary
on-disk file system.
Do we have such tools for ext{2,3,4}fs ? Thanks for any help or pointers!

In summary, the tool will do the following - It will scan the linux machine
,for unused/deleted blocks and search for magic signatures. If it finds
valid signature (both header and footer) It

file descriptor in bad state
I've just setup a simple gluster storage system on Centos 5.2 x64 w/ gluster
1.3.10
I have three storage bricks and one client
Everytime i run iozone across this setup, i seem to get a bad file
descriptor around the 4k mark.
Any thoughts why? I'm sure more info is wanted, i'm just not sure what else
to include at this point.
thanks

How to name it?
hi all,
The reason why writting this mail--i don't know how to name a tool written
by myself :-)
Following is the functionality of a file system tool :
When you install the tool it acts as a protection for your files.Tool copies
the address of files.
If you accidently deleted a file -if its contents are not modified-then the
tool retrives the contents of file.
How should i call this tool./

WG: Cross subnet browsing + OpenVPN
What about your openvpn config?
The tun net must have an entry in your hosts allow.
If you work with briding the remote network has to be the same subnet as the
local!?
Bridging is the best way to have a remote net integrated.
I have one logging in form Berlin on my Samba-Domain.

Strange behaviour during file rename
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9535653/file-rename-on-ext3-appears-to-break-posix-spec
I posted the above to stackoverflow - I am running a test does repeated file renames to a target file in one thread, and repeatedly reads that target file in another thread. This works fine except when there is a hard-link to the file being renamed to the target file. In this case the reading thread hits
