[OT] SVN: Anybody use BDB?
I''m moving my Subversion repository to a new server. The old server uses Berkeley DB/Sleepycat and if memory serves, it was a lot of effort to set that up -- so I think I''ll try FSFS. Does anybody use BDB and prefer that over FSFS? Or had any problems with FSFS? (I never had any problems with BDB, performance or otherwise, btw.) Thanks, Joe -- Posted via

BDB speed benefits
Hi. Any idea what speed benefits the BDB translator provides over standard file storage? Also, how it's reliable, and what's the maximum file size it stores in the DB? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://supercolony.gluster.org/pipermail/gluster-users/attachments/20090305/2b391a92/attachment.html>

Passing Multiple Variable Into SQLDF Statement as parameters of function
Hey guys, So I'm working with a project where I manage a database within R, and I'm developing a script/function that will automatically run my queries in R depending on the date parameters passed in. The problem is that when I create variables for the dates, and use those variables in my sqldf statements, R says that there is no such column in the dataframe (which is true!). My question

so-called snprintf() in db-1.85.4
Hi, There is a severe problem with the db-1.85.4 library''s Linux port that can be found on sunsite.unc.edu under /pub/Linux/libs/db-1.85.4-src.tar.gz (sp?): This library contains a "snprintf" function which breaks down to a common sprintf, ignoring the size parameter. Obviously, this was thought to be a terribly bad work-around for C libraries which don''t contain an

cross compling openssh-3.5p1 for ppc
Greetings: ------------ BACKGROUND -------------------------- I am using the Monta Vista development kit on an Intel RedHat Linux platform... the target is PPC_405. The configure utility that comes with the openssh-3.5p1 code will not support cross compilation. hi list, we have some trouble with openldap (back-bdb) and samba. i think it's more a problem with openldap and bdb (http://www.openldap.org/lists/openldap-bugs/200510/msg00185.html) but i want to know something about your experiences with openldap in large enterprises. what are your settings for slapd and bdb? or is there a better backend for slapd than bdb? which software versions are

Request to update slapd.conf and OpenLDAP info for Samba-Guide/happy.html
Dear Team, The OpenLDAP stuff on this page: http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/happy.html is not the preferred backend, i.e. ldbm, it really, really needs to be bdb. See: http://www.openldap.org/faq/index.cgi?_highlightWords=bdb%20ldbm&file=1085 "ldbm uses a neutral storage interface which in principle could wrap dbm, ndbm, gdbm or sleepycat as underlying storage;

replace astdb with a cluster-capable sql database engine (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 22)
unix-odbc with Asterisk Realtime is one good way to use a different backend DB than MySQL. I haven't heard of "bit rot" problems running it over long times, but I'd like to if there are any. I'm particularly interested in seeing reports of Asterisk Realtime backed by Postgres. The problem with pointing dialplan DB functions like Set(DB) at unix-odbc (or any relational

Crash!!! -- Permission Error
I'm currently re-installing db41 port. Earlier using 'innodb_force_recovery = 6' seemed to fix that PANIC error. But I don't understand this permission error. I've tried various permissions as well 777, 766, 666, 760, etc etc. I've also ran mysqld_safe as root user, but with same permission error. Also tried different directories without luck. When I log in to the
