File uploaded to webDAV server on GlusterFS AFR - ends up without xattr!
Hello list.
I'm testing GlusterFS AFR mode as a solution for implementing a highly
available webDAV file storage for our production environment.
Whlie doing performance tests I've notticed a strange behavior: the
files which are uploaded via a webDAV server, end up without extended
attributes, which removes the ability to self-heal.
The set up is a simple testing environment with 2

replicate block0 - brick0 mirror0

distribute unify - block0 block1

Xen - Backend or Frontend or Both?
I have 6 boxes with a client config (see below) across 6 boxes. I am using
distribute across 3 replicate pairs. Since I am running xen I need to
disable-direct-io and that slows things down quite a bit. My thought was
to move the replicate / distribute to the backend server config so that
self heal can happen on faster backend rather then frontend client with
disable-direct-io.
Does this

Unusual bug in glusterfsd
Hi,
I'm rather new to this project, having stumbled across it earlier this
afternoon, so forgive me if I'm still trying to find my way around. I
was in the need of an alternative to NFS that would let me spread the
task of sharing my downloaded source code files across a couple of
boxes, and GlusterFS looked like a great candidate, having had no luck
with Coda or OpenAFS.

GlusterFS startup problems
Hello, I'm quite new to GlusterFS. Recently I tried to install GlusterFS

gluster over infiniband....
Hey guys,
I am running gluster over infiniband, and I have a couple of questions.
We have four servers, each with 1 disk that I am trying to access over infiniband using gluster. The servers look like they start okay, here are the last 10 or so lines of a client log (they are all identical):

around the first 120GB are gathered in gmirror, and what left is in
gstripe. so that's whats going on. if the machine locks, and fsck comes to

Please HELP: how to delete all messages older than X days from the server?
Hello,
Would you please help me solve the following case?
My (CentOS) server runs dovecot and allows both POP3 and IMAP service.
Users are virtual users (no home directories), with messages stored in
Maildir directories under /var/spool/mail/vhosts/example.com/username
Some of them use mobile devices (without local storage space), so I must
allow IMAP access, not just POP3. But the storage

password schemes in dovecot
Hey there,
I'm using the latest dovecot 2.1.13
In the wiki http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Authentication/PasswordSchemes BLF-CRYPT is listed, but i can't use it. "doveadm pw -l" doesn't show it. And i'm unsure about how I am supposed to use the different SHA schemes, since they always output different hashes for the same password. MD5 is working fine, but I'd rather not

Sockets stuck in FIN_WAIT_1
I have a rather busy Apache 2.2 server; tons of small & some large
requests. It's a standard Dell 2650 server using the bge (broadcom)
network driver.
I seem to have a rather strange problem where after just a day or so
Apache just stops processing new connections. You can connect to port
80, but trying to get Apache to process any data just hangs. There is
nothing strange in

Icecast deadlock with 1.3.12 (fixed)
Folks-
First, let me submit a disclaimer... I know 1.3.12 is unsupported.
However, since icecast2 isn't officially released, I'm abit SOL anyways,
so I'm currently trying to debug it and will release a patch when I'm
done. (Which I'm doing since the code is GPL and I want to
contribute... if no one cares, let me know and I'll stop updating the
list with what i find)

This is in CVS, FWIW (that is, not much since the odds of 1.3.13 being
released are epsilon close to nil).
