RC8 failing...
I just tried upgrading from RC7 to RC8 this morning, and I'm seeing
an issue I've never seen before. On my first POP3 login, all is fine,
but any subsequent logins seem to fail with the message:
dovecot: Oct 10 11:04:31 Error: Maximum number of mail processes exceeded
In the dovecot log file.
I'm also oddly seeing the message:

Dmesg log for 2.6.31-rc8 kernel been built on F12 (rawhide) vs log for same kernel been built on F11 and installed on F12
Previous 2.6.31-rc8 kernel was built on F11 and installed with modules on F12.
Current kernel has been built on F12 (2.6.31-0.204.rc9.fc12.x86_64) and installed
on F12 before loading under Xen 3.4.1.
Dmesg log looks similar to Michael Yuong''s ''rc7.git4'' kernel for F12.

[Fwd: [PATCH] Fix null dereference oopses for nv40 cards] kernel 3.13.0-rc8
I should have mentioned that this applies to Linus' 3.13.0-rc7 and rc8
git. Maybe it's obvious.
Sorry about that.

Hitherto we have used UW-IMAP on a "farm" of Linux machines mounting NFS

careful use of NFS mount arguments ('noac,actimeo=0' etc.) and trying to

"''Invalid kernel'', ''xc_dom_find_loader: no loader found\n" with new vanilla 2.6.23-rc8
Hey folks,
this is my first contact to XEN-users list. So please be patient if I
missed something. I''ve searched a lot before writing this email.
My problem:
I do have a non-VT/Pacifica box (an old IBM Laptop). There I''ve got already
Xen installed (Dom0, 2.6.18-xen0). Now I''ve tried to use the newest vanilla
kernel from Kernel.org (at this time: 2.6.23-rc8). As commonly

Whatever happened to rc8?
It sounded like there was going to be one, so that some of the fixes
that didn't make it into rc7 could be easily tested before releasing 1.0?

Embedded From_ lines breaking Content-Length (and Dovecot)
I feel like I'm going totally crazy. Is it just me, or have embedded
From_ lines really been breaking mbox messages since (at least)
dovecot 1.0? I found a whole lot of broken messages in an old mailbox
of mine and when I looked closer at it, it seemed like Dovecot was
ignoring the Content-Length header and truncating the messages at the
first embedded From_ line instead. Figuring

Need help with "mbox sync" problem
The following is occurring consistently on users in only one vhost
domain. Other vhost domains are not having the problem. The email
client in use is the same (in both the working and non-working domains).

repeat downloads of message headers in 1.0rc19
I upgraded one server to 1.0rc19 (from rc15) over the weekend, and have
since received several reports of dovecot erroneously retrieving older
messages as new mail. I've seen this myself intermittently on KMail, and
users have reported it on Thunderbird, Squirrelmail, and Outlook.
I see some things in the archives that suggest that this was a problem in
older 1.0 release candidates, but
