samba 4.8x problem
Dear all,
We are using samba domain and i upgraded the samba from 4.7.9 to 4.8.9.

folders without asking password and the people that out of the domain can
view and shared the folders with

Client station file permission behavior changes after a week or so
Sorry, but I didn't really know how to word this.
I have Univention Corporate server running as AD DC, with a UCS running
as a member fileserver.
One win10 client has file permission issues after lack of reboot or
logout/login
in roughly a weeks time. Symptom = can't write to shares even though
permissions
are correct. Sometimes files are created without honoring default ACL.
Could this

I have tried and set the "cache directory" option but still gencache.tdb

directory).

Problem with pam_winbind
I'm on a redhat 7.2 box, and I am trying to configure PAM to use winbind
to authenticate against an NT4 PDC. I followed the instructions I
found at:
http://de.samba.org/samba/ftp/docs/htmldocs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.html#WINBIND
I compiled the 2.2.4 source and have tried several permutations of the
setup they suggest, and have tried many solutions I've seen suggested on

Slow and Incomplete printing from DOS Client 3.0
Hi All,
I am seeing issues printing to a text file. I am using Samba Version
4.12.3 and CUPS 2.3.3. I have written a simple BASH backend for CUPS
to simply copy the RAW contents and save it as a file. I do not
believe this is an issue with CUPS simply because I can print from a
Windows 7 Terminal doing something such as:
NET USE LPT1: \\10.111.11.130\RAWCAPTURE
DIR C:\ > LPT1
