Hi All, I'm really sad that Win2k3 server runs a lot better in a shared folder that keep a file based database that Windows 9x and WinNT clients. Explaining it better... Here in Brazil, unfortunaly we still have a lot business that is based in the old file shared database, like Dataflex, Clipper and like. Then, they need a robust and fast server to centralize that files. With Windows98

Non-linear random variables
I have a fisheries Ricker stock-recruitment non-linear model which I am trying to code up in R (after failing in MATLAB). There are two fixed parameters and a random environmental effect that is linked to a first order lagged correlation fixed parameter. Are there any examples of fitting this model I could follow? Everything is fine except one thing: If a user is changing his password inside windows client the password is encrypted and saved in ldap tree. I need this password as cleartext 'cause a webmail application only matches with cleartext passwords. I

Power to detect change (poisson)
Hi All (first timer here, be gentle!!) I'm trying to extract the residual variance out of a glm with poisson data to conduct power and sample size to detect a change over years. I have equal reps within year (for now). Is the residual variance just the grand mean of the original count data, or something trickier? glm.Male_glm(M~year*strata,family=poisson,offset=dur) levels(year) [1]
