when IPv4-only client connect to a server which have IPv4 and IPv6

the client give up on first rresevport_af().

Assorted concerns about git repository
Wayne,
I have a few more concerns about the git repository:
1. It looks like you retroactively removed all generated files from the
history. This may inconvenience a user who seeks to an older version of
the source code and lacks the magic "configure" to help regenerate the
files. You also removed "rsync.1" even from revisions before it became
a file generated from

RsyncFTP: Graphical user interface for rsync (announcement)
Questions about where to find graphical user interfaces for rsync occur
regularly.
Most of the existing GUIs are king of backup tools, but I needed
something different, somthing more like FTP.
I wrote RsyncFTP for my own usage. It is a rsync client (for rsync
servers running in daemon mode) written in Java which looks and behaves
like a FTP client and has been tested on Win2k, WinXP (and

ANNOUNCE: openssh-1.2.3
The Unix/Linux port of OpenSSH 1.2.3 was released yesterday and should
be available from a mirror near you. A mirror list is available from:
http://violet.ibs.com.au/openssh/files/MIRRORS.html
This release fixes the bugs reported since 1.2.2p1 and contains many
cleanups from the OpenBSD tree.
In particular, the OpenSSL detection problems have been resolved.
The layout has changed a little bit.

date type in database becomes nil in rails
Hi, there. I wrote an application in Windows and tried to run it in
Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit. The app works fine in windows but I found a
strange problem when I tested it in Ubuntu. Two tables in database have
a column with date type and sqlite3 is able to display the data in the
column. However, as I run it from the browser or rails console, all
data in the column becomes nil. The ROR settings

index matter
Hi,
I have a question about the following explanation;
IndexFiles.txt
------------------------------------------------------
If index files are missing, Dovecot creates them
automatically
when the mailbox is opened.

Are they made based on which information?
Thanks.

darwin getaddrinfo
in configure.ac, we AC_DEFINE(BROKEN_GETADDRINFO) for *-darwin-*
platforms. recent Darwin fixed getaddrinfo to work as specified in
RFC2553, so the case clause is not needed for recent Darwin.
still not sure when it was corrected. anyone has a clue?

use libcrypt before libcrypto
these days many unix-based systems contain crypt() with more than
DES support (for instance, MD5 in freebsd/openbsd/netbsd, bcrypt in
openbsd/netbsd). we need to use crypt() in libcrypt, not in licrypto,
as much as possible.
