DTMF Tones in RTP Payload as Well as in Events = Duplicate Tones
Dear friends, As I commented some while ago in the list, occasionally when DTMF Tones are sent, they appear in RTP Payload and in Events too, producing duplicate tones being recognized. This behavior happens in Asterisk as well as in Gateways such as Cisco, for which we had the opportunity to observe the error and extensively debug it. We ended up recognizing good digits by adjusting audio gain

R-devel Mac OSX build wierdness...
I encountered some wierdness when building R-devel (latest rsync) on OSX using commandline tools (as opposed to the Carbon GUI and whatnot...probably just laziness on my part but it generally works :-)). At any rate, sometime between 2002-07-05 and the present the configure scripts started setting INSTALL_DATA to ${R_HOME}/bin/install -c in Makeconf...which causes wierdness for the Mac OSX

wierdness with mailboxes
Mail has always been the bane of my sys-admin life. I've been looking long and hard for a small, C-based, simple IMAP server that worked well with maildirs *and* mboxes and nothing else. wu-imap is so bloated and rife with decrepit, cross-platform, insecure code that I avoid it for any new servers. Courier-imap only supports maildirs but has some wierdnesses that I've come to live with.

Eager loading wierdness
Consider this problem. I have an Item that has_many Features I want to find all Items with a Feature name of ''foo''. Normally you would do this.. @items = Item.find(:all, :conditions=>["features.name = ?", ''foo''], :include=>:features) This all works fine and dandy except for this problem. If you do this... <% for item in @items %>

Wonder shaper wierdness.
I''m troubleshooting a modified version of the wondershaper and am encountering some trouble that I was hoping you could help me look into. I have 4 queues that I add traffic to: 1. VoIP phone stuff 2. ssh traffic 3. HTTP 4. everything else (should be default). Latency is definitely increased when I run it. I was trying the catch all rule (#4) and removed the specific rule for

AppDB Voting System Wierdness
Hi, I'm a newbie. I was looking at the AppDB and I think the voting is a great idea to prioritise what people want and will use. However, I was looking at my favorite game that I want to get fully working on wine - "Company of Heroes (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=4506)". I can't understand why there isn't a global voting for this like

Multi-monitor TwinView DirectX wierdness
I'm hoping somebody can tell me how to fix this. I use Altium Designer 10 with Wine on Fedora 14. I'm using nVidia TwinView with a GeForce GTS450. What happens is that when I have the window on my left screen, I have 3D acceleration, but the GDI text overlays disappear. When I move the window to the right hand screen, I lose 3D acceleration, but my GDI text overlays (PCB trace net names)

SIP wierdness after upgrade from 0.7.1 to CVS
Just upgraded from 0.7.1 to the latest CVS version yesterday. This introduced a slew of warnings on startup. 2nd try: Cross subnet browsing wierdness
I'm having some difficulties setting up browsing across networks and domains and was hoping some of you folks out there could help. We have two separate domains on two separate networks. I have a single WINS server. Why can I browse both networks from machine pw2 when I can NOT browse both from either ch2 or mtoal (my machine) or from streetsmary? (see details below). Does each network need

More gcc 2.95.2 wierdness
On Fri, 23 Jun 2000, Monty wrote: > Unfortunately, you still have the glibc with the bug. > Sorry :-( No problem, I'll just patch up and rebuild. It looks like gnu.org is still pushing glibc 2.1.2 as the latest, so this may be an issue for some time to come... Unfortunately, I can't seem to reach the gnu.org servers today. When I can, I'll check things out and, if

configure cross_compiling+iconv wierdness
Hi, I noticed sometimes ago that my 32-bit R 2.4.1 is non-MBSC/iconv capable, whereas my 64-bit R (both built locally myself, on x86_64 linux) is. I know my system is rather beefed up on any kind of CJK-related stuff, and it shouldn't be the case. So I just looked into it, and found that the configure script basically automatically assume that the system is non-iconv/MBSC capable if it looks

Perl wierdness.
Ok, trying to install amavisd-new from Dag. Getting into a lot of problems, all of which seem to stem from Perl dependency issues. I have built several of the required modules by hand, but then got down to perl-MIME-tools. It builds FINE, but will not install. Why? Turns out, the perl RPM 'provides' perl(MIME::QuotedPrint)=3.01 but the module itself is 3.03. Build a perl module

more inter-subnet browsing wierdness
We are seeing some strange inter-subnet browsing issues here, our setup is as follows: .129 subnet [ samba box ] | | [ router ] ^ _.1 subnet _/ \_ .9 subnet_ The .129 subnet contains only the samba server configured to the letter from the browsing.txt file. The .1 subnet conists of win98 and winME boxes all configured from DHCP to use the samba box for WINS lookups.
