Question about multiples logins at the same time
Hi,
Do you have any guideline or variable in Samba in the configuration
file it determines that a user can not logging at the same time, in
order to avoid same login from different places at the same time.
For now, what I plan is to use a startup script that through me like a
flag indicating whether logged kick then through some mechanism.
I accept all suggestions.
Thank you

DNS and Reverse Adresses
Hi,
I do have a domain and a couple of different ip networks.
E.g. domainname.de and 172.17.0.0/16 and 192.168.200.0/24
In our old dns files I only have a reverse master zone for the
172.17.-lans, but also 192.168.200.x addresses in the forward zone config.
My question: dose maybe someone forgot the 192.168.200.x reverse zone

Well, one is internal (phone) and the other is external (DT), doesn't matter
which way round.

smaba &ldap
Hello,
I am running a samba 3.0.32 under fedora core 9.
I only try to authenticate users against a ldap server. Of course this
server knows the encrypted password as microsoft does. I entered the
ldap password using smbpasswd to query into the ldap. After this, I just
obtain a message like "you don't have rights to ...".
What errors do I make ???
Any ideas will be appreciated

Two subnets in one PDC ?
Hi, I?d like to ask for your help. I?m having in production a pdc with
ubuntu+samba+ldap and have a doubt because I have two subnets, one is
192.168.100.xxx and the other one is 192.168.200.xxx. Both of them belong to
the same domain and they login against the same pdc.
These two nets share files ok, they respond mutually to the ping and if I do
//pc-xp can acces from any pc to any other. The

Roaming Profile won't upload to workstation that didn't create it
Hi,
I believe I've had a 'hidden' roaming profiles problem with Samba for a
while (I have no idea when it first manifested itself - sometime between
3.0.2 and 3.0.21a).
When I create a new user, their client workstation creates and updates
the profile without any problems. Existing profiles used by existing
client workstations are also fine. However, when I try to logon as an

Some Netbios Name Lookups Exhibit Long Delay

solution... I don't see anything in my Google searches or in the

Samba coordinates browse lists with another Samba box on a remote
network (via a VPN).

Apply a driver change
Here is the general procedure to do this:
First, you must compile nut yourself on ubuntu, with the patch, then
rename the existing NUT binaries to backup files and copy over your
modified binaries to where the original binaries were.
However, since these patches are local, if the nut
package maintainer for Ubuntu releases a new package, your patches will
be overwritten.
To fix this, after you

How to setup /etc/resolv.conf dependent on network
Hello,
I am a beginner in puppet so please excuse my lack of knowledge.
(I use puppet 3.1).
We have nodes in different networks - they use different DNS servers.
I''d like to set up its /etc/resolv.conf dependent on network they are in.
What approach would you recommend to solve the problem ?
Thanks in advance
