samba cannot find cups printcap
Hi,
I just upgraded from cups-1.3.8/samba-3.4.1 to cups-1.4.1/samba-3.4.3
After upgrading, the samba log showed that it could not find the printcap file - previously cups was not generating a printcap file, but things worked fine. I changed cupsd.conf to produce a printcap file, but the samba log shows it cannot find it, even though I placed it in /etc, /etc/cups, /usr/local/etc,

The problem is that when the secondary DC is shutdown on the primary

Samba4 and SiteLinkBridges
Hi,
Having an test environment here with four sites, sites 2-4 are connected
to site 1 via vpn. No vpn tunnels between sites 2-4, so the sites 2-4
can only communicate with site 1.
Each site has it's samba4 AD DC server and they are all part of the same
domain.
Did abit of reading and found that i must use so called SiteLinks to
replicate the site objects between sites 2-4 via site 1.

SSH - Winbind and Keybased Auth
Hi Team,
We have a weird issue that we are trying to understand. We have winbind set up and working successfully for user authentication with passwords via ssh. We have pam.d/system-auth-ac and password-auth-ac (symlinked) set to require membership of a group which works great via password authentication.
However, if the user has a ssh key set up, they seem to bypass the group membership

The windows machine can see and download all the shared folders from the

Slimming down smbtree?
Sorry if these questions are getting tiring, but I want to get the
list of servers from "smbtree -NS" from an embedded system (e.g.,
custom wireless router firmware). Unfortunately, compiling smbtree
ends up being a couple of MB large. I've tried a bunch of basic
optimizations to shrink the executable size as possible (e.g., using
-f{function,data}-sections and --gc-sections,
