Strange issue with Samba + LDAP + Domain Member
Hey, I keep posting but no replies yet, this is a new issue, the rest I seem to have fixed. I have an odd issue: * When I do net rpc join the PDC creates the account, and puts it into LDAP, which looks fine. * I then can access the domain and winbind works fine from the Domain Member server. * On the PDC I see the following error: "pdb_get_group_sid: Failed to find Unix account

winbind caused "ls -l" hang on solaris 8
Hi Guys I compiled Samba 3.0.26a --with-ads and --with-winbind with krb5-1.6.2 and openldap-2.3.38 using gcc version 3.4.6 on Solaris 8. and added winbind in passwd entry in /etc/nsswitch.conf passwd: files winbind The problem is the entry "passwd: files winbind" in /etc/nsswitch.conf caused "ls -l" and Samba hang. If winbind is removed from nsswitch.conf, "ls

Confusion as to how winbind and samba interact
Hi while doing some investigation I noticed the following: linux box + samba 3.0.0 with security = ads if winbind in nsswitch.conf for passwd and group then everything ok. if winbind not in nsswitch.conf and dameons restarted then samba authentication stops working ( doing net view \\server returns access denied ). if readd winbind to nsswitch .conf then have to restart daemons before

C55x Fixed Point PLC Stack Usage and Audio Quality
Hello everyone, I just wanted to see if anyone else is using PLC on the C55x and having success? I am seeing some issues and was curious if I was doing anything wrong/stupid or maybe I have found a bug? I am using: - the CELT library from OPUS 0.9.5 ( I checked the git repo and no check ins have comments about PLC, I assume it hasn't been updated) - FRAME_SIZE: 240 - PACKET_SIZE:

access to files continues after removing user from group
Hello all, I've noticed that removing a user from a group in /etc/group does not immediately prevent the user from accessing files / directories which the group still has access to. For example, say user 'cwseyst2' only has access to access to 'plc' if it is in group 'plc-staff'. # getfacl plc # file: plc # owner: smbadmin # group: smbadmin user::rwx group::rwx

about Speex's PLC
Thanks for the reply. I think I'm beginning to understand but can you clarify a bit more. 1) I am confused on "trade error-free quality" part. Basically the encoder is doing something to the encoded data by looking at the SPEEX_SET_PLC_TUNING parameter? 2) How does the receiver side determine whether the packet loss occured or not? It seems only way is assigning

Question about PLC of Asterisk
Hi,I want to know how to do to work PLC of Asterisk. Anyone plz help me. PLC (Packet Loss Concealment) is included in Asterisk,I read at voip-info.org or release note. And I see in codecs.conf, "genelicplc" setting. So I put codecs.conf in '/etc/asterisk' ,and wrote "genericplc => true". And I worked Asterisk and tested. I think PLC like this. When I send 3

PLC Sounds Robotic - How to Implement FEC Wideband
What do you mean by "implement"? You're just using the Opus built-in PLC (passing NULL), right? The PLC generally attempts to find periodicity and replicate it. I guess if your signal isn't periodic it can lead to a repetition that isn't great. It's something that could probably be improved in the PLC. nsswitch not calling winbindd - suse 9.3 64 bit & Samba 3.0.14a
Hi - I have a problem that is driving me round the bend. I have installed Suse 9.3 (64-bit) and compiled Samba 3.0.14a from source. The server is going to be part of an ADS network so I have Kerberos working fine and I have joined the domain ('net ads testjoin' works fine). I have compiled and loaded the idmap_rid module and that seems to be working fine too. wbinfo -u gives me all the
