Can join ADS domain, all accounts/auth work fine, but leaving domain fails
Hello all, As the subject says, as far as I can tell everything works on my ads integrated samba server. Domain accounts can be used for ssh, and accessing shares, I just can't leave the domain. Here is a successful join command followed by an unsuccessful leave command at debug level 4. Any ideas? TIA, Mark user@dordal:~$ sudo net ads join -U administrator@MYDOMAIN.COM -d 4 [2009/03/19

Compiling SAMBA on Solaris 10 to use AD on Windows 2008 server
We've just set up a number of linux servers to access our AD server (Windows server 2008) and now have to set up a Solaris server. I've downloaded, compiled and install Samba (3.4.2), configured kerberos and am now trying to get it to join the AD. I get the following error: samba-3.4.2/source3# net ads join -U username Enter username's password: [2009/10/13 13:10:42, 0]

BODY { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px; }Hi, I've seen many people complain about this error message by Googling around, but I've never found a satisfactory explanation as to the cause and resolution. I'm hoping someone on the list will be able to point me in the right direction? I'm attempting to get a RHEL 5.5 client configured to use winbind auth

issue with mapping BUILTIN on ADS member server
Hello list, Quick summary of the issue (repeated below after the details): Running 'wbinfo --user-info=markc' on either smb ads member server will return identical info. Running 'wbinfo --group-info=BUILTIN\\Users' returns different information on each server. I'd like to make mappings for BUILTIN consistent in case I ever use them. Background and details: I have a

I can't join the new AD server with Samba4
Thanks for all your help. I've got the same error, then i think maybe is a problem related with upgrade. Maybe any wrong permissions or info on old samba server. I'll try to create a new domain with right data and migrate all machines (f ortunately are few computers). I think is the best.
