two PDCs
Hello, I have a PDC with master ldap backend and a BDC with slave ldap backend (both are SaMBa 3.2 on Debian Lenny). I want to install an additional SaMBa server on an another site (on Debian Squeeze). The two sites is connected with VPN (on not so reliable ADSL lines). I read an interesting network scenario in the Samba Guide chapter 6: theoretically it is possible to install one PDC on both

non-numeric binary ops?
Has there been a recent change in the behavior of binary operators? In SparseM it was, until quite recently ok to do scalar multiplication but now, > A*4 Error in A * 4 : non-numeric argument to binary operator > 4*A Error in 4 * A : non-numeric argument to binary operator > A%*%A An object of class "matrix.csr" Slot "ra": [1] 1 1 1 Slot "ja": [1] 1 2 3

Mann-Whitney U Table
Does anyone have a piece of code or know how I can use R to generate a table of critical values for the Mann-Whitney (aka Wilcoxon Rank Sum) test. Ideally, I'd like a table that contains the critical values for any two samples of size 3 through 30. I could use Monte Carlo simulation or the normal approximation when n1 and n2 are greater than, 10, but I figured someone may know how to

Radeon 4800 or Ati in general viable for wine?
Longtime lurker and user of wine, but I'm about to replace my old nvidia card with a newer model and seeing as Ati is open sourcing their drivers. I was wondering if I should get a 4800 card, but only if the fglrx or x86-radeon driver is up to the task :) Like can it run direct3d 9 games like Eve? How about 2d performance in games like fallout 2 and planescape torment?

Danish callerid on a x100p card
Hi I've got a cheap card from x100p.com for my pots line. I haven't found a definate answer if it is possible to get danish(DTMF without signaling before it). I have had a look at bug #9 but that is written longtime ago. I am running zaptel 1.4.7 and asterisk 1.4.14 BRIstuffed 0.4.0-test4 both from the xorcom debian packages. I believe they should contain some kind functionality for DTMF

Call a script after every file modification
Is there a simple possibility to hook in a script which is called every time a file is modified via smbd, e.g. a user is adding a file via samba share? The script should get also the filename too :-) The intended purpose is to duplicate the write operations of samba to another disk. Yes I know there exists RAID and Rsync and other software, but I want to use it for longtime archiving purposes,

[LLVMdev] [IMPORTANT] Mailing list Move & Downtime (Tuesday, August 4th)
On August 4th (~9AM PDT, exact time TBD), all LLVM related mailing lists will move to a new mailing list server and will change to listname at lists.llvm.org. LLVMDev will probably change to LLVM-Dev to preserve consistency. This means a couple of things: 1) All mailing lists will be down on August 4th. We anticipated at least the full day of downtime (hopefully less if things go well). 2) SVN

Dovecot Oy merger with Open-Xchange AG
To Timo and the Dovecot guys - congratulations! I'm sure this merger with OpenXchange is going to provide you with a lot of resources and opportunities. As a longtime user of dovecot, I do have a few concerns. I wonder if you can answer some questions for me. You say that OpenXchange really likes open source and shares your plans for the future. Is this a commitment that future versions

Incoming Call Recording
Longtime lurker, first time poster. :) A client of mine is in need of having Asterisk record every call that comes in from a specific incoming route. I've added the following lines to the sip_additional.conf file, but no recordings are showing up in the /var/spool/asterisk/monitor/ folder. record_out=always record_in=always Another page I came across on Google (

Developer needed
Hope I''m not being naive here but I posted the following on some freelance sites. What say you guys - the post is self-explanatory I believe. Project description: Myspace meets match.com hopeful - but with a very unique twist - you get the idea - heavy service database user interaction, photo''s, matching, questioneers and cellphone interactivity. Tired of the PHP vs .NET

Mouse behaves drunk using Wine
Mouse behaves well in Ubuntu. Most noticeable when using WoW, but happens using winecfg or wine explorer.exe. When running WoW BC on Wine 1.0.0 I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the graphics, internet response time, fps. My problem is the mouse sensitivity and response time is poor. Performing a LARGE figure 8 pattern on the screen in a quick fashion does not work. SMALL figure 8 pattern (approx.

Finding inputvsc.iso...
Hello! First time poster, longtime lurker here. I have been trying to get full functionality on a Centos 5.5 in a Hyper-V environment but the mouse pointer is not cooperating at all. It seems I need to find a file called inputvsc.iso that xen has until recently distributed. However the file is nowhere to be found. The link http://www.xen.org/download/satori.html is out of order and I have

Samba 3.0.22 PDC trusting Active Directory 2003
I'm a longtime Samba user and admin (since 1.7) and I thought I had seen just about everything until Active Directory 2003 (native mode) completely took out our Samba user authentication (each server auth=domain to an AD 2000 domain). We have Samba running on a variety of servers (AIX, HP, Linux) and need to be able to provide our users with the ability to access their appropriate shares
