[Piglit] X.Org GSoC 2019 - Student Application Period
[-everyone except nouveau]
Just looked over the projects... they all seem valid, but are there
people who could realistically mentor a GSoC student for these? IMHO
unless mentors can be identified, these should all be archived.
Cheers,
-ilia

I'm happy to announce that the X.Org Foundation has been chosen to
participate in this year's GSoC program!
Students have from now until April 9th to submit their proposals.
Students will be looking at https://www.x.org/wiki/SummerOfCodeIdeas/ and
https://www.x.org/wiki/ToDo/ for ideas. Please take a moment to review those
lists to see:

2009 Google Summer of Code
Hi,
Over the last two weeks I have received a large number of emails
regarding OpenSSH's participation in the 2009 Google Summer of Code
program.
This email should answer the questions that you collectively asked.
Please forgive this bulk reply - there are simply too many of you to
reply to individually. If I have failed to answer your question, please
feel free to email me again.

Help wanted! - Icecast is applying for Google Summer of Code through Xiph.org
Hi everyone,
We've decided to apply for this year's Google Summer of Code. Xiph.org
has taken part before, so we hope to get at least one or two, maybe even
3 students.
If we get chosen we need project ideas and mentors though. We've already
started to collect some ideas that would hopefully be sized for students
here:

That page also lists

Google Summer of Code 2018
Hi everyone,
Just a quick word to remind you that the X.Org Foundation got accepted
to the Google Summer of Code 2018!
As a potential mentor, if you have a project falling under the
foundation's (large) umbrella that you would like to kick start or get
help finishing, please add it to the list on the ideas page[1] as soon
as possible. Students will start applying on the 12th of March, see

Just to clarify, SAFECode *has* been and *is* maintained (primarily by
me). The release_26 branch in the SVN repository works with LLVM 2.6,
and mainline is working (with some regressions) with the upcoming LLVM
2.7. You can subscribe to the SVA Commits mailing list

[Piglit] X.Org GSoC 2019 - Student Application Period
well generally I would be available for all the nouveau projects,
although I am lacking proper knowledge for a few of those like video
acceleration. But I am sure I would be able to dig into stuff enough
before the projects starts.

Thanks for reaching out on the matter Ilia.
I am not to be relied on. If you're lucky, I might be able to take some
questions about past work, but cannot make a solid time commitment that
warrants being a mentor.
Of course, the mentor does not necessarily have to have the deepest
understanding of the subject matter. *At the end of the GSOC* a good
student should be trusted with having more

I'm in the process of checking in a Java and a CLI FE to the llvm
repository. I'm not sure what's the shape of llvm-java. Do your changes

[LLVMdev] Google Summer of Code Idea
This email is written on the premise that LLVM will be involved in
GSOC again this year. I noted that the wiki's open projects page [0]
has several possible projects, that seem suitable for a summer of code
project. I am writing this email to this list with the hope of
getting some feedback on specifics for a GSOC application, and also
wondering if any potential mentors are interested in

GSoC Student
Hello,
I would like to introduce myself as the new Google Summer of Code student
for this year.
My name is Andr? Ericson and I'm an undergraduate student of Computer
Science in Brazil.
I will be, with the help of Paulo Alcantara (pcacjr) my mentor, working on
implementing Multidisk
Support for the Syslinux.
For those that are not familiar with the time-line of GSoC, we (students)
have until
