Invalid char problem
Has the problem with corrupted .rhtmls (invalid characters) been solved so far? I would like to use ferret and acts_as_ferret on Windows XP. I have installed 0.10.9 (mswin32) which still seems to have the problem. I am receiving error messages like: compile error C:/INSTAN~1.4P1/INSTAN~1/rails_apps/travelogue/config/../app/views/article_editor/_header_read.rhtml:2: parse error, unexpected

Segmentation Fault
Once more, with feeling. I''m trying to implement using xrc_replace so as to use a RichTextCtrl in a form created by FormBuilder. The problem is that I can''t even create a RichTextCtrl. When I try to, I get a segmentation fault. I''ve attached the files that are causing this. I''m running wxRuby on a box running an up-to-date PCLinuxOS distro. I''ve

wxRichTextCtrl not Working through wxFormBuilder
I''ve used wxFormBuilder to put a wxRichTextCtrl on my form. After doing this, I run xrcise and try to use the control. The variable for the rich text control is a FixNum. On examination, I saw that the class name in the xrc file is "unknown". Is there no way to use this control without manually laying out the controls - or writing this routine in C++? Does anyone know a

version numbering
Hi Seems a lot of people are still downloading 0.6.0 and using it - my concern is that people will find it buggy and incomplete and give up on wxruby altogether. I think we''ve got wxruby2 to a point where it''s all round better than the old series, even though it''s not release quality, and we''re missing the DnD classes. So for the next release,

Good news on WxWidgets 2.8.0
Hi Just tried out the most recent dev release (2.7.1) of WxWidgets. The first bit of good news is that 2.7.1 has lots of attractive new widgets, such as RichTextCtrl, pickers, and the AUI. This is an add-on that''s now been merged into the core, and provides sophisticated things like dockable toolbars, perspective layouts, semi-transparent dragging etc. They seem to have brushed up

Compiling problem on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit
Hello, I''m trying to compile wxruby for Ruby 1.9 on Ubuntu Karmic 64 bit, but I can''t get it to work. I''ve already done this for the 32 bit version (on another machine, of course), so I don''t see where''s the problem with that. I thought, I had all neccessary libraries installed, but maybe you know better... After compiling for a long time, rake fails
