Samba client filesize problems
Filesize problems with samba client on Redhat 9 and W2k machine. The original smbclient did this so I upgraded to the latest, it didn't help. The server is W2k with an NTFS volume, these are video files - the windows software breaks the files at the 2G limit, but for some reason some are reported as 2G others as huge !! One day I might own 25T of disk, but not today. Anyone any ideas ?

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] [3.6 Release] Release Candidate 2 available
Hi all, I would really like to get a patch into 3.6 for libc++. The patch renames template parameters with the names '_A' and '_V' to longer names. '_A' is frequently defined in ctypes.h and that could cause libc++ to not compile. I'm fairly sure the code was added between 3.5 and 3.6 so that would make this a regression. The patch can be found here:

Bug#391935: Xen trademark might be problematic
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-amd64 Version: 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 Severity: serious It seems Xen has a similar trademark policy as the much discussed Mozilla one. Test version of the glibc with xen flavour
Hi all, I have built a test version of the glibc with a xen flavour. It is available on http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/xen/ . The only difference with the version currently in sid is the presence of the libc6-xen package. If you are using xen, please test it and tell me if it fixes speed problems. If everything is ok, I will commit it into our SVN. Bye, Aurelien -- .''`.

About libc/tls

It gave me a little help: # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) # touch /etc/ld.so.hwnocap # ldd /bin/echo libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40021000) I think this could help us. -- Julien Danjou .''`. [LLVMdev] Porting LLVM, clang et al. to GNU/Hurd
Hi! At night, when having my GNU Hurd maintainer hat on, I'm currently working on porting LLVM, clang et al. to x86-class systems using the GNU Hurd as their kernel, <http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/>. In the following, I'll just use LLVM to refer to the whole suite of tools. To some extent, LLVM already works on GNU/Hurd; thanks for constructing it in a portable fashion. From
