No log for hitting login_max_processes_count?

It wasn't obvious what was happening, logins just weren't acting like they should and sometimes would get disconnected before given a prompt from the server. Something made me think to check if I had too many of certain dovecot processes and I found I had 128 imap-login processes on both servers,

logging issues w/ login_max_processes_count on 1.x
Today I found our dovecot 2.x gracefully logged: dovecot: master: Warning: service(imap-login): process_limit reached, client connections are being dropped I am confident that we had the very same problem on our previous dovecot 1.x box. Of course with dovecot 1.x, the same relative setting is login_max_processes_count. I believe that I turned up all dovecot logging & debugging to the max

Ferret 0.10.2 - Index#search_each() and :num_docs
Hi, I seem to be having trouble getting more than 10 hits from Index#search_each since upgrading to 0.10.2 (ie, this was working in 0.9.4). Maybe a bug, as the #search_each doesn''t seem to use the options parameter any more ? Thanks, Neville =========================================== require ''rubygems'' require ''ferret'' p Ferret::VERSION idx =

ploting a comparison of two scores, including the labels in the plot
Hello r-help! I have data with two kind of ratings on status of 100 occupations. The first kind of rating is on the percieved "objective" status that these occupations have in society at large, and the second kind or rating is on the status that the respondents think that these occuption *should* have. The ratings were originally integer values in the rage 1-9, but in the current data,

Ack...OpenSSH no longer compatible with SSH 1.2.26 clients?
I just tried, on a whim, to use an OpenSSH client vs SSH 1.2.26 client, and I can connect with it... Something drastic change between pre23 and pre24? Then again, I can't get pre23 to work anymore either, after further investigation :( OpenSSH clients connect no problem, just not the old SSH 1.2.26 clients ... Marc G. Unexplainable problem with POP3 quotas
Greetings * We are having a problem with POP3 quota warnings, and despite we dig into the documentation, mailing list archives, google... we didn't spot any light We are running a self-compiled dovecot 1.1.7. The user base is in a Postgres database. We'd like a quota warning message to be injected into the maildir at 80% and 95% of occupation reached. >From the logs, it looks like

Recoding -- test whether number begins with a certain number

I have a data set in which there is a variable devoted to the ISCO code describing the occupation of this certain individual (http://www.ilo.org/public/english/bureau/stat/isco/isco88/major.htm). Every type of occupation begins with a number and every number added to this number describes th occupation more detailed. Now my

0.10.2 release with win32 gem
Hey all, I''ve just released Ferret version 0.10.2. It is mostly just a bug fix release. The only change is that a highlight method has been added to Ferret::Index::Index. Please try it out and let me know what you think. The big news for this release is that there is also a binary win32 gem included. This is the first time I''ve build a gem like this so please let me know if
