Half-Life 2 crashing with Wine 1.1.43 on Ubuntu 10.4
Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and also to Linux. I hope this problem is not caused by my lack of knowledge, but I would guess not. Hopefully^^.
As the title says, I try to play Half-Life 2 with Wine, which is listed as platinum in the Appdb, so I expected no problems. But unfortunately, the game is crashing when I want to start a new game. I see the loading bar filling, but when it's

[PATCH] nouveau_vieux: add AllocTextureImageBuffer implementation
This fixes issues where get_rt_format would see a 0 format because the
nouveau_surface had not been properly initialized. Fixes crash on
supertuxkart startup (which still fails due to out-of-vram issues).

Cannot start Amnesia nor Penumbra via Steam
Greetings!
First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who are spending their time into making Wine what it is, and better!
I would offer my help if I had the ability to actually do something, but I have yet much to learn, but in the future, perchance...
Anyways! A few days ago, I thought I would play some Penumbra: Overture. I have played it before, so I was a bit surprised as it

Trying to Run UnRealWorld through Wine
I have heard great things about this game and decided to give it a try. The website says it is playable on a Mac running Wine, and so far it seems to work, but I get this error:
Code:

Hi Marek
Thanks a lot for your rebasing work.
Here is my report :
- all my games that broke with temporaries patch (they were either
completely black or lot of black screen flash every frame) behave
badly, but in different ways :
* etracer is very slow and often crash in ttm code [1] (I think this
is an old bug that just resurrected, no idea why)
* foobillard is very slow and still flash a bit

Planswift
I recently switched from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu). I have had no issues until for a job I was required to use a program called Planswift (planswift.com). It's specialized construction software that only runs on Windows. I tried installing it with Wine, there were no problems until the very end of the installation when it was "finalizing" and a small message window with a status

IL2 Sturmovik 1946 install failure - Ubuntu 9.04 (64) 1.1.23
Second try with wine. Currently not having success installing anything (GW, Medieval2, or IL-2). Focusing on IL-2 because it's still listed as Gold, and the other apps seem known not to work with ver 1.1.23...
Attempted install from right-click>Open With Wine Windows Program Loader
Also attempted install from terminal.
Both attempts failed at same stage.
