Problem with parameter from Tux to win
Hi,
I use K-Meleon under wine as browser, and Thunderbird (linux version) as mail client.
When I click on a link in Thunderbird, K-Meleon is opened, but the parameter isn't sent, instead of it I have just '%u', the parameter I have put on the line in default programs to say to pass the real parameter.
K-Meleon receive %u and modify the address to http://www.%u.com/

Clarification of ratings...
I was browsing apps and looking for games that run in Wine as Gold or better.
The issue is that I see many apps listed as gold that require recompiling Wine with patches to get them to work. From my understanding, any application that requires code changes should be listed as garbage and tied to a patch/bug to be able to operate. That and any application that ranks higher should run under a

Hello
Id like to know how to setup up WINE on my VPS step by step?
OS : Ubuntu 10.04 32BIT

winecfg - then message pops out - Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.

Wine memory problem
I have program which memory use 500MB for OS Windows, but this program + wine in OS Linux use 3.6 GB.
1 wine+ program process use 3.6 GB virtual memory.
How to reduce quantity of used memory for 1 process?

LOTRO & Wine Performance Issues
Hello,
I just built 2 systems recently, one for myself, and one for my wife. My wife is currently running Windows Vista 64, I am running openSUSE 11.1 x86_64. We play Lord of the Rings Online, my problem is I am experience severe performance issues under Linux.
My previous system was as follows:

New game "Das schwarze Auge: Drakensang"
Hello Wine Users,
I am thinking about buying the game "Das schwarze Auge: Drakensang" (German homepage (http://www.dsa-game.de/), English homepage (http://www.drakensang.info/)). But I will only do it if I am able to play it under Linux. Does someone have the game already and tried to get it running with Wine?

Mike Meyers A+ CD with wine
I am trying to use Mike Meyers A+ CD that came with his new book on the 701 and 702 exams but I'm pretty new to wine and not sure about the configuration settings that may be blocking me from properly running the application. I have a Fedora 5 server running Dovecot (currently 1.0 rc10). The spam
filter (amavis) automatically tags email (using plussed addressing) such
that messages flagged as spam are sorted into a "spambox" folder by
procmail. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but because of some legacy

Debugging and userfriendliness

Last Wine 1.1.10/11 = pulse sound stuttering
With last Wine the sound stutters.
With last from Ubuntu repository (old) 1.0.1, work near the flawless!
I use alsa (pulseaudio -> default -> alsa).
... But sometime wow crash.
Now I've tried 1.1.10 and 1.1.11 and the the sound stutters.
Please fix this problem :(

since now I did no replication and spam is delivered into users folder "spambox"
Every night there is a cronjob which deletes spam older than 30 days via something like
"find .... -ctime +30 -delete"
Now I'm going to set up replication (two way) and I thought that
doing "rm" is not a good idea.

I am new to R and feel so bloody stupid. Abut in spite of a search of
several hrs I could not find an answer to my problem.
I have imported SPSS data to R, and apart from some warnings regarding

Launching Steam games broken in SVN.
Anyone else notice that launching of games (CSS, HL2, etc.) from Steam appears to be foobar'd using the current SVN (wine-1.1.15-221-g79cc416)?
I haven't had a chance to do _proper_ regression test yet, but a quick test of jumping back to 1.14 made things work again. Other games (tested with Anarchy Online) are working fine with the current SVN, so I'm supposing the bug is somehow
