We have found that your account was used to send a large amount of junk email messages during the last week.

Bouncing Mail???
Ever since last night all mail from the samba list has been bouncing. I'm
out of ideas...does anyone have a suggestion on what to fix.
I've attached the mail notification. It seems like sendmail does think
that lists.samba.org exists but I can do a successful lookup?

mailing list subscription and C/R system mail does not harmonize!

Emailing from Command Line
Thanks for reading,
I need certain shell scripts to email me after they are done
running. I've installed ssmtp to forward to my internal SMTP server. I have
a working ssmtp config on a Gentoo system that works just fine, but on
CentOS it's not working. Here's a bounce message:

Returned mail: see transcript for details (fwd)
Every post I do to this mailinglist is followed by a bounce message from
"centos.5.warren at recursor.net".
I have no clue why this is being send to me, afaics some IP address is
being blacklisted but I am not related to it.
Am I the only one who gets this and can we remove this person from the
mailinglist ?
Kind regards,

spam on R lists --> refuse mail??
We get caught occasionally, and we all receive spam;
sorry for the last one (on R-help). Of course, there will never be a 100%
sure prevention...
Question is what should happen when mail from R-help to an adressee
is refused with the following message : At least I won't be able to easily send
e-mail to them {and am not willing to use a non-easy way}....

Resend of returned email: [3.6.6] Possible to allow password-free read/write access?
Why is someone not setting up an email server conform RFC's
and seems to be you have an ipv6.. so set the ptr record.
Hai Linda,
I do have ipv4 and ipv6 on my server, and im never blocked..
but i did setup conform all rfcs.. i block servers in the same way.
so yes, i did set my reverse for ipv4 and ipv6..
what most people do wrong..
1) the hostname must have A and RR (PTR) and MX

OT - has my email domain been hijacked?
Returned mail: User unknown
Hi List;
I keep getting emails similar to the text below. I/We own the domain
dataintellect.com and we have email addresses setup however I always see a
bogus dataintellect.com email address as the sender.
-or is this simply a random spam email?
Thanks in advance for any advice...

Resend of returned email: [3.6.6] Possible to allow password-free read/write access?
Why would the samba list be looking for a reverse host name
via IPV6? IFAIK I only have an IPv4 addr and reverse
addr. I don't know if the original went to the person
in france or not.
Anyone else getting bounces like this?
